Be holy

“Its purpose is to distinguish between the unclean and the clean, and between the creatures that may be eaten and those that may not be eaten.”
Leviticus 11:47 CJB

Now God, doesn’t desire us to debate about what we can or cannot eat! What He’s is telling us here is that some things are good for us and some are not! God knows what is best for us so we should simply just listen to Him!

“They are to teach My people the difference between holy and common and enable them to distinguish between clean and unclean.”
Ezekiel 44:23 CJB

This is why I believe the food debate is silly! Why? Because we often miss the point of God wanting us to be holy and separate from the world and not just common sinners who live in the world!

“Then once again you will see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between the person who serves God and one that doesn’t serve Him.”
Malachi 3:18 CJB

So let’s be different, set apart and holy as Adonai desires us to be! Let’s simply do what He says!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!

Be honest

“Aharon answered Moshe, Even though they offered their sin offering and burnt offering today, things like these have happened to me! If I had eaten the sin offering today, would it have pleased Adonai.”
Leviticus 10:19 CJB

We all need to take responsibility for our sins and not make excuses or ritual atonement for them! God desires honesty and sincerity when we repent not “oops” I got caught!

“Why are all those sacrifices offered to me? asks Adonai. I’m fed up with burnt offerings of rams and the fat of fattened animals! I get no pleasure from the blood of bulls, lambs and goats.”
Isaiah 1:11 CJB

God wants honesty, not excuses and blame! Repent and be saved!

“My sacrifice to God is a broken spirit; God, you won’t spurn a broken, chastened heart.”
Psalm 51:19 verse 17 in other versions.

God wants a broken and open heart when we repent and when we do, He will turn our honesty into His joy!
Have blessed day being open before Adonai!
Shabbat Shalom!

Do what Adonai orders

“Moshe told Aharon, Approach the altar, offer your sin offering and burnt offering, and make atonement for yourself and the people. Then present the offering of the people and make atonement for them, as Adonai ordered.”
Leviticus 9:7 CJB

Every time we just do things the way Adonai orders us to do we will always be better off!

“If you love Me, you will keep My commands.”
John 14:15 CJB

When we love someone, we will listen to them and try to make them happy by doing what they say. So if we love Adonai , we really should be striving to do what He says!

“For loving God means obeying His commands. Moreover, His commands are not burdensome.”
1 John 5:3 CJB

God gives us commands not to burden us, but to help us to walk in His ways and do His will!
So have a blessed day doing what Adonai orders us to do by His word!

Love God

“He ordered done what has been done today, in order to make atonement for you.”
Leviticus 8:34 CJB

We all need to do as God orders us to do! Which He has made really easy!

‘And you are to love Adonai your God with all your heart, all your being and all your resources.”
Deuteronomy 6:5 CJB also Luke 10;27

Loving God should be easy! Why? Because God has given all for us so we can have life everlasting!

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only and unique Son, so that everyone who trusts in Him may have eternal life, instead of being utterly destroyed.”
John 3:16 CJB

This, by far, is one of the most quoted New Testament verses. Even unbelievers know this verse! Realize God created the world and us and loves us so much that He gave all, His son, so we won’t be destroyed! All we have to do is love and obey Him!
Have a blessed day loving God!

God is just

“The Cohen will make them go up in smoke on the altar as an offering made by fire to Adonai; it is a guilt offering.”
Leviticus 7:5 CJB

Why is it important to see this over and over, sin and guilt offerings? To show us that we are miserable sinners in desperate need of a Savior!

“He forgives all your offenses, He heals all your diseases, He redeems your life from the pit, He surrounds you with grace and compassion, He contents you with good as long as you live, so that your youth is renewed like an eagle’s.”
Psalm 103:3-5 CJB

We always need to be reminded that we are all miserable sinners, but even more importantly we need to be reminded of how gracious and good our God is and how He forgives!

“He has removed our sins from us as far as the east is from the west.”
Psalm 103:12 CJB

Let’s be aware that we sin, but let’s dwell on that fact when we repent. Yeshua simply forgives!
Have a blessed day knowing when we call on Adonai, He is faithful and just to forgive!
