“Command the children of Israel that they bring to you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, to make the lamps burn continually.”
The same is true for us today we need to keep the light of the LORD burning in us continually! The world maybe dark around us, so we need to be shinning ever brighter!
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
The best way to keep our lights burning is by continually taking in the word of God. Getting, refreshed, renewed and recharged!
“But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night.”
So to keep your lamp burning for the LORD, spend time in His word, hearing and doing what it says! Let our lights shine today and when you feel the oil is running out, take a break and get recharged by the word of the LORD!
“Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: When you come into the land which I give to you, and reap its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the priests.”
Everything we have and that we get comes from the LORD! We should always be giving to the LORD knowing He is the one who is giving!
“This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.”
Even the day that we are walking through now is from the LORD! We may have problems and situations that arise, but its all from the LORD and He has it under control!
“Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.”
Even today whether we have a good day or a trying day, still let us give thanks to the LORD! So let us praise the LORD for all the situations that arise good or bad, knowing He made the day!
“And when you offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving to the LORD, offer it of your own free will.”
The LORD wants us to give unto Him freely, not out of obligation or a have to; but out of a free will and we get to! The LORD saved us from eternity in hell! So let’s praise Him freely!
“Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness!”
The LORD has done great things and has more to come! The problem is we can get caught up in all the distractions of life! Health, wealth and the social climate around us! All these things are easily navigated when we put the LORD first and freely give to Him!
“Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before His presence with singing.”
Today let’s freely offer praises and thanksgiving to the LORD, not because we have to; but because we get to! Have a blessed day praising the LORD.
“He may not make himself unclean, because he is a leader among his people; doing so would profane him.”
Leviticus 21:4 CJB
As believers the LORD calls us to be separated from the world, not part of!
“If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.”
Realize we will always have issues with the world whether they are social, political or just daily life! We really need to be walking with the LORD and in His ways!
“Because it is written, BE HOLY FOR I AM HOLY.”
1 Peter 1:16
Being holy is not being ordinary, it means don’t be like the rest of the unbelieving world, but walk in the light and glory of the LORD!
“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”
1 Peter 2:9
Today let us be holy, and guide people to the light of the LORD! Have a blessed day!
“And the report about Him went out into every place in the surrounding region.”
What report’s are going out from you today? Are they reports about the LORD or are they reports about you!
“This is the LORD’s doing; And it’s marvelous in our eyes.”
We all need to be pointing to the LORD and glorifying Him! Sad to say we all fall into the trap of promoting ourselves. Look what I’m doing for the LORD, look at my project or see my ministry! Everything we do needs to be about the LORD not us Ponting to Him!
“Oh, magnify the LORD with me, And let us exalt His name together.”
Today let’s make the report, the news, the talk of the town about the LORD! Have a blessed day sharing about the LORD today!
