Share the good news!

“You shall not circulate a false report. Do not put your hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.”

Exodus 23:1

How often do we circulate a false report? Probably more often than we think! Every news article or online story we see isn’t always true! We need to check before we share, even if it sounds right!

“He who speaks truth declares righteousness, But a false witness, deceit.”

Proverbs 12:17

We are all guilty of sharing or reposting something online or on social media that was false! When we share on social media we need to check to make sure it’s true. Not just repost, because it looks or sounds true! We can always share the truth of Jesus!

“Sing to the LORD, bless His name; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.”

Psalm 96:2

We can never go wrong with sharing about the LORD! Share the good news of salvation. Realize, there is enough fake news out there, so let’s share the good news of Jesus!

Have a blessed day!

Pray for those in authority!

“You shall not revile God, nor curse a ruler of your people.”

Exodus 22:28

This one is hard for people in this day and age! The lack of reverence for the LORD is considered normal and our society has no respect for its leaders! They really are doing what is right in their own eyes.

“In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes.”

Judges 21:25

When we have no fear of God, then society seems to fall into no respect for the rulers set over them by God! We can dislike people who rule over us, but be careful of cursing them! Remember, the LORD put them there!

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.”

2 Timothy 4:3-4

Today, let’s spend time praying for our leaders, all of them, whether you like them or not; remember, God put them there!

Let’s also pray for believers and our leaders, that they would be biblically sound, teaching all scripture! Be aware of the times we are living in, Jesus warned us, many will walk away and be led astray! The best thing we can do is pray, so have a blessed day praying!

Draw closer to GOD.

“Or if it known that the ox tended to thrust in time past, and its owner has not kept it confined, he shall surely pay ox for ox, and the dead animal shall be his own.”

Exodus 21:36

This may be a slight bit out of context, but I believe this verse can be applicable to our lives! The key words are “If it is known”. How often do we know that being in or near certain situations, that we’d end up sinning? For instance, following certain posts on the internet, hanging out at certain locations or being around certain groups of people! You know what has happened in times past.

“As a dog returns to his own vomit, So a fool repeats his folly.”

Proverbs 26:11

Be careful of being foolish, the LORD has given us wisdom, discernment and the ability to remember what happened the last time we were in that certain situation!

“But if you do not do so, then take note, you have sinned against the LORD; and be sure your sin will find you out.”

Numbers 32:23

Realize, you can’t get away with anything with the LORD, He sees all, hears all and knows all! What do we do?

“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”

James 4:8

The simple solution is: you know where to go and what to do! We also know the closer we cling to the LORD, the more unlikely we will end up not in sin! Today, hold onto the LORD and let go of the world! Have a blessed day drawing closer to God!
