Serve the LORD

“Adonai said to Moshe and Aharon, Do not cut off the clan of K’hat (Kohathities) from among the L’vi’im (Levites).”

Numbers 4:17-18 CJB

Here we see that the LORD gives everyone an opportunity to serve! Whether it’s something we do or who we speak to, we all get to participate in what the LORD is doing!

“Serve Adonai with fear; rejoice, but with trembling.”

Psalm 2:11 CJB

Realize the LORD has given us all something to do for Him. What we need to do is look and ask the LORD to reveal it to us!

“Then I heard the voice of Adonai saying, Whom should I send? Who will go for us? I answered, I’m here, send me!”

Isaiah 6:8

The LORD is always looking for someone to go for Him! He always has opportunities for us. All we have to do is say “here I am send me!” Have a blessed day going out for the LORD!

Serve

“Assign the L’vi’im to Aharon and his sons; their one responsibility in regard to the people of Israel is to serve Him.”

Numbers 3:9 CJB

As we read here the Levites (the Priests) were called to serve! So are we!

“But you are a chosen people, the King’s Cohanim, a holy nation, a people for God to possess! Why? In order for you to declare the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.”

1 Peter 2:9 CJB

Just like the children of Israel who were taken out of the dark world of Egypt, we were taken out of this dark world to walk in the marvelous light of the LORD! So let’s share about His greatness and shine His marvelous light in this dark world around us!

“In the same way, let your light shine before people. so that they may see the good things you do and praise your Father in heaven.”

Matthew 5:16 CJB

Today, let’s look for every and any opportunity to shine the glorious light of our Father! Let’s have a blessed day doing it!

Watch what you’re doing!

“The people of Israel did everything Adonai had ordered Moshe: they set up camp under their banners, and they set out, each according to his family and clan.”

Numbers 2:34 CJB

There are many parts to the body and they all have a different function! The same goes in the body of the LORD! Find your function and do it, don’t try to do what you’re not called to do!

“So obey the mitzvot (commandments) of Adonai your God, living as He directs and fearing Him.”

Deuteronomy 8:6 CJB

Ask yourself, are you occupying what the LORD has called you to do? Or are you trying to be or do what someone else should be doing! Unfortunately, in ministry, there are many people occupying positions that someone else should be in or doing! Instead of walking in His ways, we just get in His way!

“But seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

Matthew 6:33 CJB

The best way to know what you should do is to seek the LORD first and ask, does it glorify God and His kingdom, or you? Today, let’s seek the LORD to see what He has for us and then occupy till the LORD returns! Have a blessed day serving the LORD.

Do what the LORD says

“The rest of Israel are to set up camp, company by company, each man with his own banner.”

Numbers 1:52 CJB

We all have a job that we get to do for the LORD. We all have an appointed time and an appointed task. What we need to do is keep focused on the LORD, so we can accomplish our tasks.

“Yah is my strength and my song, and He has become my salvation.”

Psalm 118:14 CJB

When we do what the LORD calls us to do and walk in His ways, we will always find life goes better!

“Adonai will establish you as a people separated out for Himself, as He has sworn to you-if you will observe the mitzvoth (commands) of Adonai your God and follow His ways.”

Deuteronomy 28:9 CJB

The key to life is always walking and doing things the way the LORD lays out for us in His word! Have a blessed day doing what the LORD has instructed you to do!
