Let it go!

“Moshe asked them, You let the women live? Why, these are the ones who-because of Bi’lam’s advice-caused the people of Isra’el to rebel, breaking faith with Adonai in the P’ or incident, so that the plague broke out among Adonai’s community!”

Numbers 31:15-16 CJB

The reality it took God one night to get the Israeli’s out of Egypt, but its taking forty years to get Egypt out of Israel! Remember, these were the woman Bil’am (Balaam) convinced to have sexual relations with Israel! Balaam is gone but these woman were being held on to! The question when we kill sin in our lives do we keep little?

“Just as a dog returns to his vomit, a fool repeats his folly.”

Proverbs 26:11

We too can fall into this trap not removing all our sin, do we keep some to play with or look at. Maybe we hold on to some for a later time! Don’t be like a dog returning to his vomit!

“In the same way, consider yourselves to be dead to sin but alive for God, by your union with Messiah Yeshua.”

Romans 6:11 CJB

Today, don’t hold onto stuff let it go and let your old sinful self just die. Let’s instead embrace our life giving savior Jesus!

Have a blessed day.

Use common sense

“When a man makes a vow to Adonai or formally obligates himself by swearing an oath, he is not to break his word but is to do everything he said he would do.”

Numbers 30:3 CJB

We need to do what we say, making our yes a yes and no a no! Don’t promise things that you can’t do or you know you’ll never do!

“Just let your ‘Yes’ be a simple ‘Yes’ and your ‘No’ a simple ‘No’; anything more than this has its origin in evil.”

Mathew 5:37 CJB

We need to keep what we say simple, by not making over the top outrageous promises we know we can’t keep! Especially the promises to the LORD; you do this and I’ll do that or You get me out of this mess and I’ll do this!

“You who don’t direct your lives, understand caution; as for you, you fools, get some common sense!”

Proverbs 8:5 CJB

Often times we can go through our day without a plan, so be cautious on what we say and do! Call on the LORD before hand and in everything use some common sense, by talking to the LORD before you act. Have a blessed day walking with the LORD.

Trust the LORD

“Then their eyes were opened, and they recognized Him. But He became invisible to them.’

Luke 24:31 CJB

How were their eyes opened? Not by entertainment or a show, but by hearing the word!

“They said to each other, Didn’t our hearts burn inside us as He spoke to us on the road, opening up the Tanakh (the word) to us?”

Luke 24:32 CJB

Something special always happens when we study the word and focus on the LORD. Our problems, doubts and concerns seem to become less important and our hearts become encouraged!

“So trust (faith) comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through a word proclaimed about the Messiah.”

Romans 10:17 CJB

In other when we hear and read about the LORD our eyes are opened, our faith is strengthened we become encouraged and start to proclaim the Good News of the LORD! Have a blessed day digging into the word and sharing His Good News

Seek life

“Terror-stricken, they bowed down with their faces to the ground. The two men said to them, Why are you looking for the living among the dead?”

Luke 24:5 CJB

Here we see these woman were seeking the dead among the dead. The question is; are we seeking dead things? Dead jobs, dead relations and a dead past? Jesus is alive and well we need to seek Him who is life and His bright future for us!

“When you seek Me, you will find Me, provided you seek for Me wholeheartedly.”

Jeremiah 29:13 CJB

When we seek the LORD we seek life!

“The thief comes only in order to steal, kill and destroy; I have come so that they may have life, life in its fullest measure.”

John 10:10 CJB

Remember, the enemy wants to rip us off and have us worship dead things, but the LORD wants us to have life! Have a blessed day worshipping the living LORD!

Shabbat Shalom!
