We should do the same, before we do anything we should consult the LORD!

“They go down to Egypt but don’t consult Me, seeking refuge in Pharaoh’s protection, seeking shelter in Egypt’s shadow.”
Isaiah 30:2 CJB

We need to be real careful of seeking help from the world before we seek the LORD! The world will always let us down the LORD will never let us down!

“If I were you, I would seek God; I would make my plea to Him.”
Job 5:8 CJB

Today, let’s seek the LORD not the world we will always be blessed! Have a blessed day consulting the LORD!

“On the third day, there came a man from Sha’ul’s camp with his clothes torn and earth on his head. He approached David, fell to the ground and prostrated himself.”

Here we see great mourning and anguish at the death of Saul and his sons! We also can go through rough times and be in distress and anguish. The good news is the LORD has us and will comfort us!

“In my distress my comfort is this: that your promise gives me life.”
Psalm 119:50 CJB

When we are in distress and have situations going against us in life, all we have to do is call on the LORD! He is always there!

“Adonai is close to all who call on Him, to all who sincerely call on Him.”
Psalm 145:18 CJB

So no matter what is going on around you, just remember, the LORD is only a call away! Have a blessed day knowing you don’t have to live in anguish, because we have the LORD!

“The fighting went hard against Saul; then archers overtook and wounded him, so that he was in agony.”
1 Samuel 31:3 CJB

Life can come at us hard never giving us a break, it will always be harder when we are outside of God’s will like Saul!

“For Adonai loves justice and will not abandon His faithful; they are preserved forever. But the descendants of the wicked will be cut off.”
Psalm 37:28 CJB

When we step out of the will of the LORD we will have disasters. When we are walking in His ways He takes care of us, even when we slip and fall!

“Many peoples will go and say. Come, let’s go up to the mountain of Adonai, to the house of the God of Ya’akov (Jacob)! He will teach us about His ways, and we will walk in His paths. For out of Tziyon will go forth Torah, the word of Adonai from Yerushalayim.”
Isaiah 2:3 CJB

Even though we may stumble, remember, the LORD is always there to pick us up! Our desire should be to walk in His ways and learn from Him, because it will always go better!

“Then David consulted Adonai. He asked, Should I go in pursuit of these raiders? Will I catch up with them? And [Adonai] answered him, Go in pursuit, because you will overtake them and recover everyone and everything.”

The people wanted to stone David here, everything is falling apart in his life. What does he do? He calls on the LORD!

“On the day of my trouble I am calling on You, for You will answer me.”
Psalm 86:7 CJB

When trouble happens, let’s call on the LORD, not look to the world.

“Adonai is good, a stronghold in time of trouble; He takes care of those who take refuge in Him.”
Nahum 1:7 CJB

Life has ups and downs, times of trouble and it happens to all of us! The best thing we can and should do is call on the LORD!

As believers, no matter how much we try to run or hide in the world, remember, the world will always reject us!

“If you belonged to the world, the world would have loved its own. But because you do not belong to the world—on contrary, I have picked you out of the world—therefore the world hates you.”
John 15:19 CJB

We may think we can find comfort in the world from time to time, but we never will! As a believer you will always be uncomfortable in the world! Our comfort is in the LORD!

“I will lie down and sleep in peace; for, Adonai, you alone make me live securely.”
Psalm 4:8 CJB

Today, if you feel uncomfortable in the world, good! Why? Because we don’t belong in the world, we belong to the LORD!
