Exalt the LORD

“Adoniyah the son of Haggit was beginning to claim that he would be king; to this end he organized chariots and horsemen, with fifty men to run ahead of him.”
1 Kings 1:5 CJB

Adoniyah here is exalting himself to be king over the people even though God never anointed him! Pride and arrogance will always get us into trouble.

“Because everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but everyone who humbles himself will be exalted.”
Luke 14:11 CJB

We all need to be careful of exalting ourselves over others, thinking somehow we are better or more superior than others!

“Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that at the right time He may lift you up.”
1 Peter 5:6 CJB

It’s always better for us to take the lowest seat and not try to exalt ourselves over others! It’s always better to be humble and allow the LORD to do the lifting up! Today, don’t look down at people, but instead look for the good!
Have a blessed day in Him!

The arms of the LORD

“David said to Gad, This is very hard for me. Let us fall into the hand of Adonai, because His mercies are great, rather than have me fall into the hand of man.”
2 Samuel 24:14 CJB

No matter what, we will always be better off in the hands of the LORD! When we sin, repent, and let the LORD cover us in His grace! When trials happen, don’t seek the world but, instead, seek the LORD!

“Seek Adonai and his strength; always seek His presence.”
Psalm 105:4 CJB

No matter what the situation is, we will always be better off when we seek the LORD, falling into His hands and not the world’s.

“Better a day in your courtyards than a thousand [days elsewhere]. Better just standing at the door of my God’s house than living in the tents of the wicked.”
Psalm 84:10 CJB

Today, we all know crazy situations are happening around us, some of our own doing, and some out of our control! Remember, we are always better off in the hands of the LORD!
Have a blessed day loving the LORD and loving those around you!

Look to the LORD

“Hear me, Adonai, hear me, so that this people may know that you, Adonai, are God, and that you are turning their hearts back to you.”
1 Kings 18:37 CJB

Are we praying to the LORD, calling upon Him when turmoil is happening, or are we looking to the world for answers?

“On the day of my trouble I am calling on you, for you will answer me.”
Psalm 86:7 CJB

There are all kinds of issues happening around us: disease, financial meltdown and civil unrest to name a few things. Don’t be distracted, but instead call on the LORD so folks around you can see who you trust in!

“Give thanks to Adonai! Call on His name! Make His deeds known among the peoples.”
1 Chronicles 16:8 CJB

In everything, good or bad, just give thanks to the LORD, knowing no matter what, He’ll work it all out, because everything fits into His perfect plan!
Have a blessed day in Him and don’t panic when trouble happens!
Shabbat Shalom!

Living water

“David had a craving and said, I wish someone could give me water to drink from the well by the gate of Beit-Lechem!”
2 Samuel 23:15 CJB

Here we see David desiring some fresh water from the house of bread (Beit-Lechem). We should not only desire water from the LORD, we should be willing to get it and give it!

“Then He sends His word out and melts them; He makes the winds blow, and the water flows.”
Psalm 147:18 CJB

We all need to share the water of the word and the bread of life (The LORD.) It’s really what the world needs now! Just look around at the anxiety we see in the world today. We really need to be sharing Jesus!

“Then He said to them, As you go throughout the world, proclaim the Good News to all creation.”
Mark 16:15 CJB

Today, let’s crave the water of the word of God, then share it! Have a blessed day in Him!
Shabbat Shalom!

Trust the LORD

“Adonai is alive! Blessed is my Rock! Exalted be God, the Rock of my salvation.”
2 Samuel 22:47 CJB

Even as we look around and see the problems of the world, we can feel the LORD is not here! Realize, He is our rock and our salvation and He is always near!

“Since You are my rock and fortress, lead me and guide me for Your name’s sake.”
Psalm 31:3 CJB

Even today, we see so many problems going on around us, personal and societal! Know this, the LORD is on the throne and has all the solutions and cures!

“Then I will be be joyful in Adonai, I will rejoice in His salvation.”
Psalm 35:9 CJB

Today, don’t be stressed but, instead be blessed in how good the LORD is, knowing He has all things covered!
Have a blessed day!
