Repent

“Moshe assembled the whole community of the people of Israel and said to them, These are the things which Adonai has ordered you to do.”
Exodus 35:1 CJB

Not to sound legalistic or like a doom and gloom guy, but maybe we have not really been listening to the LORD and doing our own things!

“If you hold back your foot on Shabbat from pursuing your own intrests on my holy day; if you call Shabbat a delight, Adonai’s holy day, worth honoring; then honor it by not doing your usual things or pursuing your interests or speaking about them. If you do, you will find delight in Adonai-I will make you ride on the heights of the land and feed you with the heritage of your ancestor Yakov, for the mouth of Adonai has spoken.”
Isaiah 58:13-14 CJB

The LORD really does know what is best for us! That is doing everything His way, not ours! The beautiful thing is when we blow it, all we have to do is call upon Him and repent!

“At that time, whoever calls on the name of Adonai will be saved. For in Mount Tziyon and Yerushalayim there will be those who escape, as Adonai has promised; among the survivors will be those whom Adonai has called.”
Joel 3:5 CJB also: Acts 2:21 and Romans 10:13

Today, let’s do things the LORD’s way and let’s pray for repentance. This, I believe, is what we and the world really needs! We need JESUS!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom

Set a place for the LORD

“And he prepared the inner sanctuary inside the temple, to set the ark of the covenant of the LORD there.”
1 Kings 6:19 CJB

We all need a place where we can go to the LORD, a place set apart to spend time with Him!

“Those who are planted in the house of the LORD Shall flourish in the courts of our God.”
Psalm 92:13 CJB

Life is filled with all kinds of issues and a whole lot of unknowns! Things always work out better when we set a time and a place to spend time with the LORD!

“Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek your good.”
Psalm 122:9 CJB

Today, with everything going on in the world around us, spending time with the LORD is the best thing we can do!
Have a blessed day seeking the LORD in His sanctuary!
Shabbat Shalom.

Seek the LORD

“God gave Schlomo exceptional wisdom and understanding, as well as a heart as vast as the sandy beach by the sea.”
1 Kings 5:9 CJB

The LORD gave Solomon great wisdom and a good heart, we actually have the same! How? We have His complete word literally in the palm of our hands! What we need to do is open it up and get into it and do it!

“I treasure Your word in my heart, so that I won’t sin against you.”
Psalm 119:11 CJB

Even though we have access to the word of God, but we often neglect getting into it!

“Seek Adonai and His strength; always seek His presence.”
Psalm 105:4 CJB

Today, don’t forsake getting into the word of God and seek His direction and instruction for the day!
Have a blessed day seeking His wisdom!

Heart of the LORD

“Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart able to administer justice to your people, so that I can discern between good and bad-for who is equal to judging this great people of Yours?”
1 Kings 3:9 CJB

Not that we should ask to be able to judge people, but we should ask for an understanding heart and to be able to discern good from evil!

“Make me understand the way of your precepts, and I will meditate on your wonders.”
Psalm 119:27 CJB

We need to be asking the LORD continuously for His heart and understanding in everything, because His ways are always better!

“As high as the sky is above the earth are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
Isaiah 55:9 CJB

Today, let our prayers be about having the heart of the LORD and to be doing things His way!
Have a blessed day!

Love one another

“Why, then, haven’t you kept the oath of Adonai and the mitzvah (instructions) I charged you with?”
1 Kings 2:43 CJB

The LORD gives us instructions and we need to follow them! It’s really simple: Love God and love people! Loving God can be easy, but loving people gets a little difficult!

“Sh’ma, Yisrael! Adonai Eloheinu, Adonai echad [Hear, Israel! Adonai our God, Adonai is one]; and you are to love Adonai your God with all your heart, all your being and all your resources.”
Deuteronomy 6:4-5 CJB also Matthew 22:37-39

When we love the LORD and are looking to Him, it really makes it easier to love others as we should!

“Don’t take vengeance on or bear a grudge against any of your people; rather, love your neighbor as yourself; I am Adonai.”
Leviticus 19:18 CJB

“And a second is similar to it, You are to love your neighbor as yourself.”
Matthew 22:39 CJB

Loving God is the easy part, it starts to get complicated when it comes to people, life styles, politics and personal opinions get in the way! When people don’t think like us, look like us or believe like us, we start to become judgmental and even hateful! We all see this every day!

“Don’t owe anyone anything — except to love one another; for whoever loves his fellow human being has fulfilled Torah.”
Romans 13:8 CJB

Today, let’s not judge people, but love people, especially as we see what’s happening in the world around us, we all can be a lot more loving and a lot less judgmental!
Have a blessed day!
