Listen to the LORD

“Moshe did as Adonai ordered him, and the community was assembled at the entrance to the tent of meeting.”
Leviticus 8:4 CJB

In this section of Leviticus, we see the LORD commanding His people to follow His instructions! For all of us, it always goes better when we follow His instructions!

“How happy is everyone who fears Adonai, who lives by His ways.”
Psalm 128:1 CJB

Anytime we hear the voice of the LORD and do what He says, we are always going to be happier! Sometimes we may not understand why, but we will always be better off when we do!

“As high as the sky is above the earth are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
Isaiah 55:9 CJB

Know that the LORD is calling you to Him and to do things His way! So look for the LORD in everything.
Have a blessed day walking in His way!
Shabbat Shalom!

Be still

“There he went into a cave and spent the night. Then the word of Adonai came to him; He said to him, What are you doing here, Eliyahu?”
1 Kings 19:9 CJB

From time to time we can feel like we are alone in a cave, but we are never alone. The LORD is always with us.

“Adonai-Tzvaot is with us, our fortress, the God of Ya’akov.”
Psalm 46:7 CJB

As we are alone, that is when the LORD starts to speak with us, when we are alone and in a quiet place!

Desist, and learn that I am God, supreme over the nations, supreme over the earth.”
Psalm 46:10 CJB

Even if we feel all alone, know that the LORD is right there with us and it’s probably a good time to start listening. Have a blessed day knowing we are not alone!
Shabbat Shalom

Look to the LORD

“When all the people saw it, they fell on their faces and said, Adonai is God! Adonai is God!”
1 Kings 18:39 CJB

Understand, the people just saw God send fire down on Mount Carmel and burn up everything on the altar, including the water that Elijah had poured on to it! Now the people are praising the LORD!

“Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we praise the name of Adonai our God.”
Psalm 20:7 CJB

Often times we will trust in everything but the LORD in times of trouble! Then the LORD does something miraculous and we praise Him! Let’s praise, rejoice and trust in Him first!

“I hate those who serve worthless idols; as for me, I trust in Adonai.”
Psalm 31:6 CJB

Today, don’t get burned up in trusting man, material or places but, instead trust the LORD!
Have a blessed day looking to the LORD!

The LORD has it covered

“For this is what Adonai, the God of Israel, says: The pot of meal will not get used up, nor will there fail to be oil in the jug, until the day Adonai sends rain down on the land.”
1 Kings 17:14 CJB

Here we see that this woman believed that she and her son were gonna die! Like her, we have nothing to worry about, because nothing happens unless the LORD says so!

“Thus says Adonai, Israel’s King and Redeemer, Adonai-Tzvaot: I am the first, and I am the last; besides me there is no God.”
Isaiah 44:6 CJB

We all need to be careful of looking at things from our perspective and understanding. We can end up being fearful! We need the LORD and His heart to navigate the world!

“So obey the mitzvot of Adonai your God, living as He directs and fearing Him.”
Deuteronomy 8:6 CJB

So no matter how things look around us, pandemics, natural disasters or man’s misleadings, we must look to the LORD, not the issues going on in the world around us! He has a perfect plan for us!
So have a blessed day trusting Him!

Look inside yourself

“Ach’av also set up the ashram; indeed, Ach’av did more to anger Adonai the God of Israel, than all the kings of of Israel preceding him.”
1 Kings 16:33 CJB

It’s really easy for us to point out the evil and failures in others. It may even make us feel better or take the focus off what we may be doing wrong! In the long run, it doesn’t help!

“For Adonai is watching a man’s ways; He surveys all his paths.”
Proverbs 5:21 CJB

We often times can get hung up on picking apart other people, other ministries and even leaders! It doesn’t help when we all have issues!

“Don’t judge, so that you won’t be judged.”
Matthew 7:1 CJB

Today, be careful of trying to change the world or other people in order to make yourself feel or look better. Instead take a good look inside yourself and make some changes within yourself. When we make godly changes in ourselves, we then shine brighter for the LORD!
Have a blessed day glorifying the LORD!
