Remove the junk

“Asa did what was right from the perspective of Adonai, as David his ancestor had done. He rid the land of cult-prostitutes and removed all the idols his ancestors had made.”
1 Kings 15:11-12 CJB

What a great thing to do, remove all the things that distract us from the LORD!

“I will not allow before my eyes any shameful thing. I hate those who act crookedly; what they do does not attract me.”
Psalm 101:3 CJB

With all the things that come across our paths during the day, we need to remove the wicked from the holy! We need to be on guard using the LORD’S filter, His word!

“But if we are walking in the light, as He is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of his Son Yeshua purifies us from all sin.”
1 John 1:7 CJB

Today, don’t look to the world but look to the LORD! Don’t fall into worldly fellowship, but look for fellowship with other believers!
Have a blessed day in Him!

Glorify the LORD

“Y’hudah did what was evil from Adonai’s perspective; they made him angry because of their sins, which were worse than any their ancestors had committed.”
1 Kings 14:22 CJB

The LORD wants to be holy (set apart). He wants us to not be ordinary, like the rest of the world. He has called us to be special to glorify Him!

“But you are chosen people, the King’s cohanim (priests), a holy nation, a people for God to posses! Why? In order for you to declare the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.”
1 Peter 2:9 CJB

We were called not to worship at the pagan altars of the world, but instead we are called to glorify the LORD!

“Proclaim with me the greatness of Adonai; let us exalt His name together.”
Psalm 34:3 CJB

Today, let’s not look at the pagan altars of the world, but let us glorify the LORD, that’s what we are called to do!
Have a blessed day magnifying the name of the LORD!

The LORD is faithful

“If an individual among the people commits a sin inadvertently, doing something against any of the mitzvoth (Laws) of Adonai concerning things which should not be done, he is guilty.”
Leviticus 4:27 CJB

We all have done something that we have regretted after we did it! What do we do?

“If we acknowledge our sins, then, since He is trustworthy and just, He will forgive them and purify us from all wrongdoing.”
1 John 1:9 CJB

Realize, we all blow it often times unwillingly, we slip into old bad habits and the next thing we know we are in sin! Remember how great the LORD is. He never fails and always forgives. We just need to repent!

“On the contrary, they are new every morning! How great Your faithfulness.”
Lamentations 3:23 CJB

Today, with all that is going on around us. We usually don’t have the best attitudes and we can be a bit grumbly! Remember, the mercy and grace of the LORD are never-ending. All we have to do is call on Him!
Have a blessed day calling and confessing to the LORD, knowing He is forgiving!
Shabbat Shalom!

Follow the LORD

“For this is the order I received through the word of Adonai: Don’t eat food or drink water, and don’t return by the road you took when you came.”
1 Kings 13:9 CJB

Listening to the LORD is always going to be better for us. Things don’t work out so good for this man of God because of disobedience. He ends up getting eaten by a lion!

“Sh’mu’el said, Does Adonai take as much pleasure in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying what Adonai says? Surely obeying is better than sacrifice, and heeding orders than the fat of rams.”
1 Samuel 15:22 CJB

Life is full of all kinds of obstacles and problems, which all can be better navigated by following the LORD! Remember, this is a man of God who is eaten by a lion! Even believers need to be mindful of doing what God says, not man!

“If you love me, you will keep My commands.”
John 14:15 CJB

Today, let’s listen and follow the LORD and do life His way!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!
