Listen to the LORD

“Adonai said to Yehu, Because you did well in accomplishing what is right from my perspective, and have done to the house of Achav everything that was in My heart, your dependents down to the fourth generation will sit on the throne of Israel.”
2 Kings 10:30 CJB

Here we see the LORD is pleased with Jehu for wiping out Ahab’s descendants and removing the prophets of Baal! Even though he does things right, he still refuses to follow the LORD’S instructions!

“But Yehu made no effort to live wholeheartedly according to the Torah of Adonai the God of Israel and did not turn away from the sins of Yarov’am (Jerobam), with which he had led Israel into sin.”
2 Kings 10:31 CJB

Again, we need to be careful of doing one thing good, but then refuse to follow all the LORD’S instructions in His word! Be careful of doing some things right and ignoring others! We can’t pick and choose!

“If you love Me, you will keep My commands.”
John 14:15 CJB

Today, let’s strive to do all that the LORD requires of us!

“Human being, you have already been told what is good, what Adonai demands of you-no more than to act justly, love grace and walk in purity with your God.”
Micah 6:8 CJB

Today, let’s do what the LORD requires of us. Life will always be better when we do!
Have a blessed day in Him!

He keeps His promises

“So they came back and told him. He said, This is what Adonai said through his servant Eliyahu (Elijah) from Tishbe: In the field of Yisreal the dogs will eat the flesh of Izevel (Jezabel); Izevel’s corpse in the field Yizreal will be like dung on the ground, unrecognizable as Izevel.”
2 Kings 9:36-37 CJB

The LORD said He would deal with Jezabels evil ways and the dogs would eat her! Well just as the LORD says so it happens!

“Don’t delude yourselves: no one makes a fool of God! A person reaps what he sows.”
Galatians 6:7 CJB

The truth is we can never mock God and get away with it, we can’t pull the wool over the eyes of the LORD! The LORD means what He says and fulfills what He says! The good news is He keeps all His promises too!

“In My Father’s house are many places to live. If there weren’t, I would have told you; because I am going there to prepare a place for you.”
John 14:2 CJB

So no matter on how crazy things are getting! We don’t need to worry about the LORD dealing with evil, because He will! What we get to do is be encouraged with the promises the LORD will keep for us who believe! He is coming soon to bring us home, His home!
Have a blessed day rejoicing in the promises of the LORD!

Check yourself

“He lived after the example of the house of Achav; he did what was evil from Adonai’s perspective, as had the house of Achav; for he was a son-in-law in the house Achav.”
2 Kings 8:27 CJB

We know most of the kings of Israel and Judah were evil like king Ahav (Ahab)! One of the main things they did was worship fake gods knowing that we may do the same! How? What’s on the screen in our house?

“How many crimes and sins have I committed? Make me know my transgression and sin.”
Job 13:23 CJB

We all have a tendency to look at others‘ issues, instead of our own! We should take time to do some self-reflection and the beautiful thing is, when we admit and confess, then watch the LORD forgive!

“We confess our rebellion, Adonai, also the crimes of our ancestors; yes, we have sinned against You.”
Jeremiah 14:20 CJB

The key to forgiveness is confession and the blessing is our LORD forgives!

“He forgives all your offenses, He heals all your diseases.”
Psalm 103:3 CJB

Even though evil happens and sometimes we fall into it, remember, our LORD is bigger and He always forgives when we confess!
Have a blessed day calling on the LORD!

Take a step!

“Now there were four men with Tzara-at (leprous) at the entrance to the city gate, and they said to each other, Why should we sit here till we die?”
2 Kings 7:3 CJB

Like these four men, we can feel helpless with no real choice. These lepers knew they were gonna die from the disease eventually. So what did they have to lose by going to the Syrian camp? Same goes for us, what do we have to lose by stepping out with the LORD!

“They got up during twilight to go to the camp of Aram. But when they reached the outskirts of the camp of Aram, they saw no one!”
2 Kings 7:5 CJB

Often times we can be overwhelmed by our problems, only to find when we get there, they really are nothing or never really existed!

“Give Adonai His due, you who are godly; give Adonai His due of glory and strength; give Adonai the glory due His name; worship Adonai in holy splendor.”
Psalm 29:1-2 CJB

Today, no matter how things may look, we need to look to the LORD, not the problem, because often times the problem isn’t as big as we think it is and the LORD is always bigger!
Have a blessed day!

Open your eyes

“The servant of the man of God got up early in the morning; on going outside, he saw an army with horses and chariots surrounding the city. His servant said to him, Oh, my master, this is terrible! What are we going to do?”
2 Kings 6:15 CJB

We can and do feel like this at times waking up and seeing our enemies surrounding us! Then asking the question what are we gonna do? The answer can always be found in the LORD!

“He answered, Don’t be afraid-those who are with us outnumber those who are with them!”
2 Kings 6:16 CJB

The same goes for us today the LORD out numbers our problems every time!

“Elisha prayed, Adonai, I ask you to open his eyes, so that he can see. Then Adonai opened the young man’s eyes, and he saw: there before him, all around Elisha, the mountain was covered with horses and fiery chariots.”
2 Kings 6:17 CJB

Today, let’s pray for the LORD to open our eyes to see Him and look to Him and not see the problems that surround us!
Have a blessed day!
