Caesarea

“Then your light will burst forth like the morning, Your new skin will quickly grow over your wound; your righteousness will precede you, and Adonai’s glory will follow you.” Isaiah 58:8 CJB

Call on the LORD

“But Y’ho’achaz pleaded to Adonai, and Adonai listened to him, because he saw the oppression the king of Aram was inflicting on Israel.”
2 Kings 13:4 CJB

God knows all and sees all, what we need to do is call out to Him and wait for His answers! Remember, He answers in His timing, not ours, so just keep calling!

“So Adonai gave Israel a savior who freed them from the grip of Aram, so that the people of Israel could live in their tents, as they had before.”
2 Kings 13:5 CJB

When we fall into oppression, depression or recession, the key is always the same: call on the LORD! Don’t look at the situation, but instead look to the LORD, who is our Savior!

“I call on Adonai, who is worthy of praise; and I am saved from my enemies.”
Psalm 18:4 CJB

Today, if you feel like your back is against the wall, just look to and call on the LORD who saves!
May your day be blessed, being focused on the LORD!

Remove high places

“Y’ho’ash (Jehoash) did what was right from Adonai’s perspective throughout the lifetime of Y’hoyada the Cohen (Priest), who instructed him.”
1 Kings 12:3 CJB

We, too, can do what is right in the sight of the LORD, but fail to remove the things that distract us from the LORD!

“Nevertheless the high places were not taken away; the people still sacrificed and presented offerings on the high places.”
2 Kings 12:4 CJB

In other words, we can do the right things in the LORD, but leave some places open for sin! What places? Television shows, websites and movies that might not be so godly!

“Therefore, humble yourself under the mighty hand of God, so that at the right time He may lift you up.”
1 Peter 5:6 CJB

Today, be humble and do what the LORD says and be careful where you hang out!
Have a blessed day in Him!

Examine yourself

“But if the Cohen examines it and sees no white hair in the bright spot, and it is no more than skin-deep but looks faded, when the Cohen is to isolate him for seven days.”
Leviticus 13:26 CJB

Like the priests here, we need to examine ourselves and then deal with what we find accordingly! How? By what the word says, we need to remove sin from our lives!

Since the Tanakh (written word) says, You are to be holy because I am holy.”
1 Peter 1:16 CJB

The word over and over tells us to confess and the LORD forgives!

“When I acknowledge my sin to You, when I stopped concealing my guilt, and said, I will confess my offense to Adonai; then You, You forgave the guilt of my sin.”
Psalm 32:5 CJB

The LORD wants us to be holy (set apart) from the world! Part of being holy is really taking a good look at ourselves and then dealing with what we find according to His word! Confessing and then stopping what we were doing and moving on to being holy!

“But you are a chosen people, the King’s cohanim, a holy nation, a people for God to possess! Why? In order for you you to declare the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.”
1 Peter 2:9 CJB

Today, let’s take a good look at ourselves, confess, pray and share the Good News of Salvation!
Have a blessed day examining ourselves!
Shabbat Shalom!

Confess

“So they took her by force and led her through the horses’ entry to the royal palace, and there she was put to death.”
2 Kings 11:16 CJB

This woman Athaliah, who was ruling the land in place of Joash, was as wicked as Jezabel and would have killed young Joash at any chance! Killing, as sad as that is, needed to be done! We too need to kill the evil that may be in our lives, not talking about people, but sin!

“He who conceals his sins will not succeed; he who confesses and abandons them will gain mercy.”
Proverbs 28:13 CJB

How do we kill sin? Simple, confess it, don’t try to hide it or conceal, it but confess and allow the LORD to remove it!

“Then, if My people, who bear My name, will humble themselves, pray, seek My face and turn from their evil ways, I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land.”
2 Chronicles 7:14 CJB

Today, let’s remove our sins by confessing them to the LORD! What the world needs now is repentance, then we get forgiveness and the LORD brings revival!
Have a blessed day calling on the LORD!
