Cling to the LORD

“For he clung to Adonai and did not leave off following him, but obeyed His mitzvoth (Commandments), which Adonai had given Moshe.”
2 Kings 18:6 CJB

Just previous to this, Hezekiah did what was right in the LORD’S eyes and also removed all the high places! Now he is clinging to the LORD, knowing the LORD will never let him go!

“For if you will take care to obey all these mitzvot I am giving you, to do them, to love Adonai your God, to follow all His ways and to cling to Him.”
Deuteronomy 11:22 CJB

We all mess up on what we say, post or do. We are all guilty, but the LORD is always there, holding us and never letting go! What we need to do is let go of the junk and hold on to the LORD!

“But you shall hold fast to the LORD your God, as you have done to this day.”
Joshua 23:8 CJB

So with all that is going on in the world, the best thing we can do is cling to the LORD and let the junk of this world go!
Have a blessed day!

Be nice

“Do not hate your brother in your heart, but rebuke your neighbor frankly, so that you won’t carry sin because of him.”
Leviticus 19:17 CJB

We all need to be careful of hating the people who live near us, especially during this time we are living in! With the situation we are all living, in it’s real easy to get irritated, so be nice!

“Don’t take vengeance on or bear a grudge against any of your people; rather, love your neighbor as yourself; I am Adonai.”
Leviticus 19:18 CJB

We all need to be a lot more understanding and less judgmental! Let us share the love of the LORD because that is what the world needs now!

“Sing to Adonai, bless His name! Proclaim His victory day after day!”
Psalm 96:2 CJB

Today, let’s look for opportunities to share the love of the LORD with our neighbors and those we come in contact with!
Have a blessed day sharing the love of the LORD!
Shabbat Shalom!

Don’t get mixed up

“However, they didn’t listen, but followed their old [pagan] practices.”
2 Kings 17:40 CJB

We need to be listening to what the LORD says, not what the what the world, says! When we listen to the world we live in fear and deception leading to depression! Also, really be careful of mixing worldliness with godliness!

“So these nations mixed fearing Adonai with serving their carved idols; likewise their children; and to this day, their descendants do the same as their ancestors did.”
2 Kings 17:41 CJB

Often times in life, we need to make choices. We will never go wrong when we choose the LORD! Be careful of mixing the world with the LORD. It will always make a mess!

“Eliyahu stepped forward before all the people and said, How long are you going to jump back and forth between two positions? If Adonai is God, follow Him; but if it’s Ba’al, follow him! The people answered him not a word.”
1 Kings 18:21

Today, let’s be about choosing the LORD and His ways and then practice and proclaim them!
Have a blessed day in Him!
Shabbat Shalom!

Don’t live in fear

“When King Achaz went to Damascus to meet Tiglat-Pil’eser king of Ashur and saw the altar that was in Damascus, he sent a drawing and model of the altar to Uriyah the Cohen, with details of its construction and decoration.”
2 Kings 16:10 CJB

Here we see Ahaz go to the pagan city of Damascus and seeing the pagan altar he decides to copy it! We also need to be careful of copying the world!

“In other words, do not let yourselves be conformed to the standards of the Olam hazeh (the world). Instead, keep letting yourselves be transformed by the renewing of your minds; so that you will know what God wants and will agree that what he wants is good, satisfying and able to succeed.”
Romans 12:2 CJB

We need to be careful of looking like the world and more importantly acting like the world! Our world is living in fear right now and as believers, we don’t need to, because in the LORD we have nothing to fear!

“Adonai is my light and salvation; whom do I need to fear? Adonai is the stronghold of my life; of whom should I be afraid?”
Psalm 27:1 CJB

Today, let’s not try to copy the world in its ways and especially in its fears!
Have a blessed day in Him!

Someone always sees

“Yotam(Jotham) slept with his ancestors and was buried with his ancestors in the City of David his ancestor. Then Achaz his son took his place as king.”
2 Kings 15:38 CJB

As we go through life, we need to remember that there is always someone following after us, watching our every move and what we say!

“I will follow the path of integrity; when will you come to me? I will run my life with a sincere heart inside my own house.”
Psalm 101:2 CJB

People are watching us to see how we act and how we walk, so we really need to be mindful!

“Don’t obey just to win their favor, serving only when they are watching you; but serve as slaves of the Messiah, doing what God wants with all your heart.”
Ephesians 6:6 CJB

We are servants of the LORD, ambassadors for His kingdom, so we really need to be doing our best! Realize, there is always someone watching us!
Have a blessed day walking with the LORD!
