Follow the LORD

“And all the following blessings will be yours in abundance-if you will do what Adonai your God says:”
Deuteronomy 28:2 CJB

We can’t expect the LORD to bless us when we are counstantly disobeying Him! Realize we will be accountable for our actions, yes, the LORD forgives, but He doesn’t bless our sins! Good things happen when we listen to the LORD!

“A blessing on you when you go out, and a blessing on you when you come in.”
Deuteronomy 28:6 CJB

Life is full of challenges that can distract us when we go out into the day and when we come in from the day! We really just need to be following the LORD in everything!

“If you love me, you will keep my commands; and I will ask the Father, and He will give you another comforting Counselor like Me, the Spirit of Truth, to be with you forever.”
John 14:15-16 CJB

How cool is this: the LORD gives us His Holy Spirit to help us keep His commandments! Today, let’s really be about doing all things God’s way!
Have a blessed day in Him!
Shabbat Shalom!

Trust

“Trusting is being confident of what we hope for, convinced about things we do not see.”
Hebrews 11:1 CJB

Faith is living a life without trying to manipulate things, without worrying, but instead just trusting, even when we can’t see what’s going on!

“Desist (drop it), and learn that I am God, supreme over the nations, supreme over the earth.”
Psalm 46:10 CJB

The Hebrew word for desist is “Rafah” meaning drop it or let it go! We all have things going on in life were we try to manipulate or push things through! What the LORD wants us to do is let it go and let Him take over!

“For we live by trust, not what we see.”
2 Corinthians 5:7 CJB

Today, don’t get caught up in seeing then believing, but trusting then seeing! We always have to just trust the LORD is doing exactly what needs to be done!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!

Gather together

“And let us keep paying attention to one another, in order to spur each other on to love and good deeds, not neglecting our own congregational meetings, as some have made a practice of doing, but, rather, encouraging each other. And let us do this all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
Hebrews 10:24-25 CJB

No matter where we look today, we would be in denial if we can’t see the Day of the LORD fast approaching! Knowing this should make us want and desire to be in fellowship with each other, seeing each other face to face!

“I was glad when they said to me, The house of Adonai! Let’s go!”
Psalm 122:1 CJB

We really should make assembling ourselves together a high priority!

“Unless Adonai builds the house, its builders work in vain. Unless Adonai guards the city, the guard keeps watch in vain.”
Psalm 127:1 CJB

Today, let’s realize everything and anything we do needs to have the LORD at the center! That includes when we assemble together to worship and learn about Him! It’s not about a person or a place, but it has to be about the LORD!
Have a blessed day in Him!

Thankful

“Just as human beings have to die once, but after this comes judgment, so also the Messiah, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to deliver those who are eagerly waiting for Him.”
Hebrews 9:27-28 CJB

So thankful that the LORD has already dealt with our sin and I am really excited for the LORD to come and deliver us from the world!

“In His presence are honor and majesty; in His place, strength and joy.”
1 Chronicles 16:27 CJB

The world can and does bring us down, but we should be excited that soon we will be with the LORD in His place!

“My soul yearns, yes, faints with longing for the courtyards of Adonai; my heart and body cry for joy to the living God.”
Psalm 84:2 CJB

Today, let’s make seeking the presence of the LORD a priority! When we place the LORD at the top of our priority list, everything else always falls into place!
Have a blessed day in Him!

Don’t get bogged down

“Because I will be merciful toward their wickednesses and remember their sins no more.”
Hebrews 8:12 CJB

What a great promise, that we repent and He forgives and forgets!

“He has removed our sins from us as far as the east is from the west.”
Psalm 103:12 CJB

There are so many things we can get bogged down with in life, such as finances, failures and bad decisions! But the Good News is we are forgiven and we don’t have to be bogged down!

“Adonai is merciful and compassionate God, slow to anger and rich in grace and truth.”
Psalm 103:8 CJB

Today, let’s rejoice that the LORD has saved us from our messes that we’ve made!
Have a blessed day in the LORD!
