Anointed

“For the Torah appoints as cohanim g’dolim (high priests) men who have weakness; but the text which speaks about swearing of the oath, a text written later than the Torah, appoints a Son who has been brought to the goal forever.”
Hebrews 7:28 CJB

Before Yeshua, men were appointed to be high priests, but at the end of the day they were just men! There is no one better than Yeshua, the great High Priest!

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”
Psalm 46:1 CJB

Today, be real careful of placing men and women onto high thrones. Remember they are just human like you and me and often times will dissapoint you!

“But you are a chosen people, the Kings cohanim, a holy nation, a people for God to possess! Why? In order to declare the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.”
1 Peter 2:9 CJB

Today, realize we are all the same in the eyes of Yeshua. He really doesn’t have favorites and no one is anointed more than the other. We just have different jobs!
Have a blessed day in Yeshua!

Grace

“For when people have once been enlightened, tasted the heavenly gift, become sharers in the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit), and tasted the goodness of God’s Word and the powers of the `olam haba (age to come)- and then have fallen away-it is impossible to renew them so that they turn from their sin, as long as for themselves they keep executing the Son of God on the stake all over again and keep holding Him up in public contempt.”
Hebrews 6:4-6 CJB

We need to be careful of just continuing to willingly repeat the same sin over and over and repeatedly re-sacrifice Yeshua over and over again! Some people believe they can just purposely and repeatedly sin because they are saved and just claim grace! That makes grace cheap. The LORD has given us grace, so let’s be responsible with that free gift from the LORD!

“Don’t delude yourselves: no one makes a fool of God! A person reaps what he sows.”
Galatians 6:7 CJB

We see the unbelieving world mock God, we also see many so-called believers doing the same!

“Sh`ma, Yisrael! Adonai Eloheinu, Adonai echad [Hear, Israel! Adonai our God, Adonai is one]; and you are to love Adonai your God with all your heart, all your being and all your resources.”
Deuteronomy 6:4-5 CJB

Today, let’s be believers who follow after the LORD by being in His word and doing what He says. Don’t look for wiggle room to try and get away with sinning!
Have a blessed day loving the LORD!

Don’t mix

“You are not to wear clothing woven with two kinds of thread, wool and linen together.”
Deuteronomy 22:11 CJB

If you put wool and linen together, the wool will shrink and the linen won’t when you wash it, that would be a disaster! The point the LORD is making is: don’t mix with the world!

“Eliyahu stepped forward before all the people and said, How long are you going to jump back and forth between two positions? If Adonai is God, follow Him; but if it’s Ba’al, follow him! The people answered him not a word.”
1 Kings 18:21 CJB

The idea here is when we go out into the world, we need to walk in it, but don’t mix with it! Why? Because disaster will always ensue!

“No one can be slave to two masters; for he will either hate the first and love the second, or scorn and be loyal to the first. You can’t be a slave to both God and money.”
Matthew 6:24 CJB

Today, when you go out, remember life is full of decisions and we must always chose Yeshua first! Be careful of mixing with the world!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!

Walk in harmony with the LORD

“For every Cohen Gadol (high priest or pastor) taken from among men is appointed to act on people’s behalf with regard to things concerning God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sin.”
Hebrews 5:1 CJB

Priests, Pastors and Rabbis need to be for and about serving the people, not self! They need to be relatable and walk according to the word of God!

“For where there are jealousy and selfish ambition, there will be disharmony and every foul practice.”
James 3:16 CJB

We all really need to be careful of being self-centered people! We need to be willing and able to serve others! When leaders stray from sound doctrine, they end up walking in disharmony with the word of God!

“Serve Adonai with gladness. Enter His presence with joyful songs.”
Psalm 100:2 CJB

Today, be aware that there are many self-serving men and women out there! We just need to be mindful and prayerful about them and not be part of what they are doing! We will always be better off when we walk in harmony with the LORD!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!

Rest

“Therefore, let us do our best to enter that rest; so that no one will fall short because of the same kind of disobedience.”
Hebrews 4:11 CJB

Often times in life, we find ourselves laboring and striving instead of just resting in the LORD!

“My safety and honor rest on God. My strong rock and refuge are in God.”
Psalm 62:7 CJB

When we find ourselves relying on politicians, health care and bank accounts for rest, we actually find ourselves in disobedience toward God!

“Taste, and see that Adonai is good. How blessed are those who take refuge in Him!”
Psalm 34:8 CJB

Today, let’s look to the LORD for our refuge. That’s where we will find our rest!
Have a blessed day in Him!
