Mark 4:23

We can’t just hear the word of God and not do anything about what it says or instructs us to do! Being a believer requires action!

“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.”

James 1:22

“Faith is action. Faith is acting upon what God has said.”

We can’t take in His word, read a devotion or listen to a sermon and do nothing! We really need to take in His word and do what He says! Walk and talk in His ways!

“Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.”

Psalm 119:105

We need to be people of action, doing what the LORD tells us to do, not hiding the light He put in us!

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Matthew 5:16

Today, let’s get out there and reflect the light of the LORD! Take in what He says in His word and share it! Have a blessed day being a light, doing good things to glorify the LORD!

“Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow.”

Mark 4:3

Are we listening? We should know this parable of the seeds that are sowed in four types of soil! The first is devoured, because there is no desire for the LORD. The seconded because it has no room for the LORD, things of the world are more important. The third is choked out because the world is louder: news pundits, sports pundits and protest (social injustice). Don’t let the world choke out the LORD! The fourth is good ground. Hope this your heart today?

“And He said to them, He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

Mark 4:9

We need to be the soft good ground, there is enough weedy, stoney and overgrown ground out there! Let us hear what the LORD says, share the good news of salvation, but understand some will just reject! We need to just love them and move on to the next! Our job is to sow seed, the seeds of LOVE, not to get into endless debates and arguments! Just sow the seeds of LOVE! The LOVE of the LORD!

“You shall not take vengeance, nor bear and grudge against the children of your people, but you shall LOVE your neighbor as yourself: I am the LORD.”

Leviticus 19:18

Today, realize the key to any argument, disagreement or contentious situation is LOVE! We need to all try to sow as many seeds of love, the LOVE of the LORD as we can! Have a blessed day just loving on people!

“If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.”

Mark 3:24-25

We see this all around us today. Nations, society and, sadly, believers are all divided! For us as believers in the LORD we are supposed to have unity, not division! How do we do this? Simple!

“A new commandment I give to you, that you LOVE one another; as I have loved you, that you also LOVE one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have LOVE for one another.”

John 13:34-35

They key really is to LOVE. Jesus loved us, so we should just love people! We don’t have to agree, we just have to love! When we love each, other it always leads us to forgiveness, kindness and understanding!

“Therefore, as elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, long-suffering; bearing with one another; even as Jesus forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on LOVE, which is the bond of perfection.”

Colossians 3:12-14

Today, let’s not get frustrated and angry with people, judging and condemning them! Let’s just let things go, forgive and just LOVE! Have a blessed day just loving as the LORD loves us!
