“And Jesus answered and said to them, Because of the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.”

Mark 10:5 NKJB

Yes, Jesus was talking about divorce here, but many of our problems come from the hardness of our hearts! We take a stance and decide we will not change whether we are right or wrong! Understand we don’t always have to be right!

“But by your stubbornness, by your unrepentant heart, you are storing up anger for yourself on the Day of Anger, when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed.”

Romans 2:5 CJB

Most arguments and disagreements come from stubbornness and having a hard heart! We say things like “it’s got” to be my way or the highway or understand “I’m” always right, but what does that get you: loneliness!

“He who conceals his sins will not succeed; he who confesses and abandons them will gain mercy.”

Proverbs 28:13 CJB

Don’t hold onto things that bind you, making you bitter! Check and see what is in your heart, is it soft or is it hard?

“A time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to discard.”

Ecclesiastes 3:6 CJB

Today, search your heart. Are you holding onto something that has you bound up? That makes you hard and is keeping you from a relationship or holding you back! Give it up, let it go and call on the LORD! Have a blessed day searching your heart and letting go of the things that bind you! Remember, we don’t always have to be right!

“But the LORD said to my father David, Whereas it was in your heart to build a temple for My name, you did well that it was in your heart. Nevertheless you shall not build the temple, but your son who will come from your body, he shall build the temple for My name.”

1 Kings 8:18-19

Don’t get frustrated when the LORD puts something on our heart to do for Him and we can’t! It may be on our heart, but it might be for us to pray for someone else to do, so we get to help prepare the way!

“The voice of one crying in the wilderness; Prepare the way of the LORD; Make straight in the desert A highway for our God.”

Isaiah 40:3

We all get to be part of what the LORD is doing, no matter how big or small our part is!

“This is the LORD’s doing; It is marvelous in our eyes.”

Psalm 118:23

We need to remember it isn’t about us, it’s all about the LORD and what He is doing! So let’s do our part to glorify the LORD today!

“For the cloud of the LORD was above the tabernacle by day, and fire was over it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.”

Exodus 40:38

We can see this in our lives today, no matter what situation we may be in, the LORD has us covered day and night. We all need to be reminded of that from time to time.

“O GOD the LORD, the strength of my salvation, You have covered my head in the day of battle.”

Psalm 140:7

Life is full of battles, what we need to realize is the LORD has us covered, we just need to show up.

“Then all this assembly shall know that the LORD does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the LORD’s and He will give you into our hands.”

1 Samuel 17:47

So like David going up against Goliath, we need to not look at the giant, but instead look to the LORD! Knowing He has us covered and He will take down the giants. All we have to do is show up and the LORD will take care of the rest! Have a blessed day knowing He has you covered.
