Love is always better

“You are to apply the same standard of judgment to the foreigner as to the citizen (Believer), because I am Adonai your God.”

Leviticus 24:22 CJB

What we need to do is treat people without prejudging or stereotyping! We need to be fair and treat people the way we want to be treated and better! Remember, the way the LORD treats them is with love and forgiveness!

“Don’t take vengeance on or bear a grudge against any of your people; rather, love your neighbor as yourself; I am Adonai.”

Leviticus 19:18 CJB

“He told him, You are to love Adonai your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. This is the greatest and most important mitzvah (Law). And a second is similar to it, You are to love your neighbor as yourself. All of Torah and the Prophets are dependent on these two mitzvoth.”

Matthew 22:37-40 CJB

We need to really work on loving others. Understand, at times it can be hard, But we really need to try!

“Don’t plot harm against each other; and don’t love perjury; for all these are things I hate, says Adonai.”

Zechariah 8:17 CJB

Today, let’s work at loving others and not judging! Let’s work at letting things go and not hold onto grudges. Let’s spend more time on forgiving and forgetting! Have a blessed day working at loving others!

Rest in the LORD

“Work is to be done six days; but the seventh day is a Shabbat of complete rest, a holy convocation; you are not to do any kind of work; it is a Shabbat for Adonai, even in your homes.”

Leviticus 23:3 CJB

As we read through this chapter, what we should get is the LORD really wants us to take a break. He wants us to rest and spend time with Him!

“Be still before Adonai; wait patiently till He comes. Don’t be upset by those whose way succeeds because of their wicked plans.”

Psalm 37:7 CJB

When we are still and resting with the LORD, we start to see that He is working all things out and He has all things under control. We can just rest and enjoy Him!

“Desist, and learn that I am God, supreme over the nations, supreme over the earth.”

Psalm 46:10 CJB

Today, don’t get stressed, but instead rest and know that the LORD has it all covered! Have a blessed day spending time with the LORD and let Him take care of all the messes!

Give your best

“You are not to bring anything with a defect, because it will not be accepted from you.”

Leviticus 22:20 CJB

In other words, what the LORD is saying here is don’t bring Me your leftovers or your second best! Do we give God what we “don’t want, that has no real value to us, or do we give Him our best”? Something to think about!

“Honor Adonai with your wealth and with the first fruits of all your income. Then your granaries will be filled and your vats overflow with new wine.”

Proverbs 3:9-10 CJB

Everything we have is from the LORD, so why would we give Him our leftovers? He gave Himself, His best so we could have life and life everlasting! So we should give all to Him!

“Every good act of giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father who made the heavenly lights; with Him there is neither variation nor darkness caused by turning.”

James 1:17 CJB

Today, let’s not bring defective things or our leftovers, to the LORD! Instead, let’s bring praise and thanksgiving for all the great things He has given us, even thanking Him for the difficult situations we may be going through. Why? Because He has given us a future filled with hope! Have a blessed day giving our best to the LORD!

Be set apart

“Rather, you are to set him apart as holy, because he offers the bread of your God; he is to be holy for You, because I, Adonai, who makes you holy, am holy.”

Leviticus 21:8 CJB

Just like the Cohanim, who were called out to be holy (separated) realize, so are we! We need to be set apart from the world and its worldliness!

“But you are a chosen people, the King’s cohanim, a holy nation, a people for God to possess! Why? in order for you to declare the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.”

1 Peter 2:9 CJB

The LORD desires us to be walking in His light and in His ways, not in ungodly, worldly ways! For many, of the people we come in contact with, realize, we are the only representatives of the LORD that they may see or hear! So be Holy (set apart)!

“Likewise, when people light a lamp, they don’t cover it with a bowl but put it on a lamp stand, so that it shines for everyone in the house.”

In the same way, let your light shine before people, so that they may see the good things you do and praise your Father in heaven.”

Matthew 5:15-16 CJB

Today, realize, as believers in Jesus, everything we do and say is watched and listened to! So let us be mindful, godly, and Holy. We are a reflection of the light of the LORD! So have a blessed day and week reflecting His glorious light!

Share about the LORD

“But He said to them, I must announce the Good News of the Kingdom of God to other towns too-this is why I was sent.”

Luke 4:43 CJB

The same goes for us, we need to be careful about getting caught up in the worlds issues, but instead be caught up in sharing the Good News of the LORD!

“For I will proclaim the name of Adonai. Come, declare the greatness of our God!”

Deuteronomy 32:3 CJB

Remember the Jewish people were trudging through the wilderness, hated and attacked by the surrounding people, but were still encouraged to proclaim the greatness of the LORD! They only failed when they looked at their situation same goes for us!

“But as for me, I will look to Adonai, I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.”

Micah 7:7 CJB

Today, don’t get caught up in your situation, but instead get caught up in the LORD! God knows what you are going through. So have a blessed day looking to Him and sharing His Good News!
