God keeps His promises

“Yiftach (Jephthah) made a vow to Adonai: If you will hand the people of ‘ Amon over to me, then whatever comes out the doors of my house to meet me when I return in peace from the people of ‘ Amon will belong to Adonai; I will sacrifice it as a burnt offering.”

Judges 11:30-31 CJB

God already promised victory, so there was no need to make a vow or a promise to God! We need to be careful about saying and doing the same thing. We are not very good at keeping promises or vows!

“But Adonai-it is He who will go ahead of you. He will be with you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you, so don’t be afraid or downhearted.”

Deuteronomy 31:8 CJB

The LORD doesn’t need us to make vows. We just need to stand firm on His promises, knowing that the LORD never breaks a promise and always keeps His vows!

“Adonai will always guide you; He will satisfy your needs in the desert, He will renew the strength in your limbs; so you will be like a watered garden, like a spring whose water never fails.”

Isaiah 58:11 CJB

Today, just stand firm on what the LORD promises and remember, we don’t have to make vows! Have a blessed day in Him!

Victories in the LORD

“Then they traveled from Mount Hor on the road toward the Sea of Suf in order to go around the land of Edom; but the people’s tempers grew short because of the detour.”

Numbers 21:4 CJB

The LORD gives us many victories in life. Problem is, we tend to forget them when we hit new trials, detours and bumps in the road. That’s when we start to complain!

“Now I know that Adonai gives victory to His anointed one – He will answer him from His holy heaven with mighty victories by His right hand.”

Psalm 20:6 CJB

It’s always a good thing to remember the victories that the LORD has given us in the past! It helps when we face new trials in the present and future! Remember, the LORD got you through the last one; he’ll get you through the next one.

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”

Psalm 46:1 CJB

Today, no matter what, stay focused on the LORD, not your situation. Also, don’t give up. The LORD will get you through!

May your day be richly blessed!

The LORD’S plan is better!

“Thus Edom refused to allow Israel passage through its territory, so Israel turned away.”

Numbers 20:21 CJB

If God tells us, or directs us, to do something, we shouldn’t let the world get in our way or redirect us!

“Thus says Adonai, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am Adonai, your God, who teaches you for your own good, who guides you on the path you should take.”

Isaiah 48:17 CJB

We should always follow the LORD, even when it doesn’t make sense! His direction is always right. Stick to His plan in His word!

“As high as the sky is above the earth are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.”

Isaiah 55:9 CJB

Today, follow hard after the LORD, walking in His ways, even if it doesn’t make sense!

Have a blessed day!
