God’s not finished with you!

“Now Y’hoshua was old; the years had taken their toll. Adonai said to him, You are old, and the years have taken their toll; but there is yet a great deal of land to be possessed.”

Joshua 13:1 CJB

Maybe this sounds like you today, feeling old, worn out and tired! Realize you’re in good company. Abraham, Moses, Caleb and yes John were all eighty plus when they did some of the greatest things for the LORD!

“Now, look: Adonai has kept me alive these forty-five years, as He said He would, from the time Adonai said this to Moshe, when Israel was going through the desert. Today I am eighty-five years old but I am as strong today as on the day Moshe sent me- I’m as strong now as I was then, whether for war or simply for going here and there.”

Joshua 14:10-11 CJB

We know Caleb went on to take on the Anakim in their most fortified city! So, too, we need to realize that the LORD has us here because there is more for us to do! Caleb waited forty-five years, so hold on, the battle is coming!

“Adonai, Adonai, my saving strength, my helmet shielding my head in battle.”

Psalm 140:7 CJB

Today, understand the battle is real, but so is the LORD and He has a perfect plan for you, no matter how old you are! So hang in there and look for your hill to take, God isn’t finished with you! Have a blessed day!

Shabbat Shalom.

We have battles

“Not one city made peace with the people of Israel, except for Hivi living in Given; they took everything in battle.”

Joshua 11:19 CJB

Life is full of battles. We will win some and we will lose some, but remember, the LORD has won the war! We also need to remember not everyone among us will be peaceful with us!

“I will lie down and sleep in peace; for, Adonai, you alone make me live securely.”

Psalm 4:8 CJB

We need to remember that in the world we will have difficulties, tribulations, but in the LORD we can and do have peace!

“I have said these things to you so that, united with Me, you may have shalom. In the world, you have tsuris (tribulation). But be brave! I have conquered the world!”

John 16:33 CJB

Today, realize, some days will have peace and some days won’t! But in the LORD we will always have peace. Why? Because He is victorious! Have a blessed day resting in His shalom!

Don’t be afraid

“”Y’hoshua said to them, Don’t be afraid or confused, but be strong and bold, because this is what Adonai will do to all your enemies that you fight against.”

Joshua 10:25 CJB

Same goes for us we don’t need to be afraid or confused about life. What we need to know is the LORD has all things under control including dealing with our enemies!

“Haven’t I ordered you, Be strong, be bold? So don’t be afraid or downhearted, because Adonai your God is with you wherever you go.”

Joshua 1:9 CJB

Our LORD wants us to be bold, not afraid nor confused, but instead be confident and bold in Him!

“I will proclaim Your name to my kinsmen; right there in the assembly I will praise you.”

Psalm 22:22 CJB

Today, don’t worry about things going on around us, most of them are way out of our control anyhow! But instead be bold and confident about sharing about the LORD! Have an amazingly blessed day in Him!

Seek the LORD first

“The men sampled some of their food but didn’t seek the advice of Adonai.”

Joshua 9:14 CJB

We also need to be careful of doing this sampling things of the world without consulting the LORD first!

“Seek Adonai and His strength; always seek His presence.”

1 Chronicles 16:11 CJB

In everything we do we need to seek the LORD, and get His instruction and directions on what to do or not to do!

“Guide me in your truth, and teach me; for you are the God who saves me, my hope is in you all day long.”

Psalm 25:5 CJB

Today, let’s seek the LORD, call upon His name before we do anything! May your day be richly blessed in Him!

Get into His word!

“After this, he read all the words of the Torah, the blessing and the curse, according to everything written in the book of the Torah.”

Joshua 8:34 CJB

This is not only what we get to do, it’s what we need to do! Read, study and share the word of God!

“You keep examining the Tanakh because you think that in it you have eternal life. Those very Scriptures bear witness to Me.”

John 5:39 CJB

What John is saying in this verse is we must search the scriptures for Yeshua, because He is the giver of eternal life and everything in the word speaks of the LORD!

“Guide my footsteps by your word; don’t let any kind of sin rule me.”

Psalm 119:133 CJB

Two things that happen when we are in the word of God. First: it keeps us looking for Him and Second: it keeps us from sinning against Him! Today, get into His word and share it with everyone!
