Step out in faith!

“Y’hoshua said to the people of Israel. How long will you delay going in to take possession of the land which Adonai the God of your ancestors has given you?”

Joshua 18:3 CJB

The LORD gives us land to take, so to speak, but often times we don’t step out and take it! As believers, we really need to step out and take territory for the kingdom!

“But you are a chosen people, the King’s cohanim, a holy nation, a people for God to possess! Why? In order for you to declare the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.”

1 Peter 2:9 CJB

We are called to share the good news of the LORD and by doing so, we are taking possession of land for His kingdom!

“Now Adonai said to Avram, Get yourself out of your country, away from your kinsmen and away from your father’s house, and go to the land that I will show you.”

Genesis 12:1 CJB

Today, know that the LORD has given us land to take, all we have to do is step out in faith and take it! Have a blessed day sharing the good news!

Don’t compromise

“After the people of Israel had become strong, they made the Kena’ani(Canaanites) do heavy labor but didn’t completely drive them out.”

Joshua 17:13 CJB

We really need to be mindful of what we allow into our lives. We really need to remove the things that drag us down! Don’t think we are stronger than we really are. Our flesh can be weak!

“When you go out to fight your enemies and see horses, chariots and a force larger than yours, you are not to be afraid of them; because Adonai your God, who brought you up from the land of Egypt, is with you.”

Deuteronomy 20:1 CJB

Even if the obstacles in front of us seem to big to handle, remember the LORD is bigger! We need to have faith. Don’t allow the size of things to overwhelm you!

“Stay awake, and pray that you will not be put to the test-the spirit indeed is eager, but human nature is weak.”

Mark 14:38 CJB

Today, we need to trust that the LORD is going to get us through, so don’t fall into the traps of the world! Have a blessed day!

Pray about everything

“They did not drive out the Kena’ ani(Canaanites) living in Gezer, so Kena’ ani live together with Efrayim to this day, having become slaves to do the heavy work.”

Joshua 16:10 CJB

We see here that Ephraim didn’t get rid of everything and everyone God commanded them to! Later down the road it will come back to bite them! Same can go for us when we hold onto a little sin!

“As for towns of these peoples, which Adonai your God is giving you as your inheritance, you are not to allow anything that breathes to live.”

Deuteronomy 20:16 CJB

We need to be real careful of what we allow into our homes and our lives! Watch out for things that put us in compromising situations!

“Stay awake, and pray that you will not be put to the test-the spirit indeed is eager, but human nature is weak.”

Matthew 26:41 CJB

Today, pray about everything and be careful and prayerful about what you allow in! Have a blessed day walking with the LORD!

We need borders

“As for the west border, the Great Sea was its border. These were the borders of the territory of the descendants of Y’hudah, by clans.”

Joshua 15:12 CJB

Borders and boundaries can be a good thing, but often times we cross them! How? Maybe by sticking our noses where they don’t belong or talking about things that are none of our business! We are all guilty crossing a boundary at one time or the other.

“A gossip goes around revealing secrets, but a trustworthy person keeps confidence.”

Proverbs 11:13 CJB

Do we look for things to talk about (gossip) or do we look for things to pray about?

“Love each other devotedly and with brotherly love; and set examples for each other in showing respect.”

Romans 12:10 CJB

Today, let’s be mindful of borders and boundaries which are all around us! Let’s be respectful and loving to others and lift up everything in prayer especially before we speak! Have a blessed day in the LORD!

Bring good news

“I was forty years old when Moshe the servant of Adonai sent me from Kadesh-Barnea to reconnoiter(spy out) the land, and I brought back to him an honest report.”

Joshua 14:7 CJB

Do we bring honest reports about things or negative reports to discourage? For Caleb, who brought a good and honest report back forty-five years later, he gets to go back to take some of the best land!

“Therefore, give me this hill, the one Adonai spoke about on that day; for on that day you heard how the ‘Anakim were there with great, fortified cities; perhaps Adonai will be with me, and I will drive them away, as Adonai said.”

Joshua 14:12 CJB

We all need to focus on the good news of the LORD, and push forward no matter how dire the situations around us seem! At times things can look desperate, but the LORD always gets us through!

“Then He said to them, As you go throughout the world, proclaim the Good News to all creation.”

Mark 16:15 CJB

Today, let us bring good and honest reports and not negative troubling news, there is enough bad news out there! Have a blessed day sharing good reports!
