Be filled by the LORD

“Then Daniel said to the guard whom the chief officer had put in charge of Daniel, Hannah, Mishael and Azaryah, Please! Try an experiment on your servants-for ten days have them give us only vegetables to eat and water to drink.”

Daniel 1:11-12 CJB

This may sound like a good diet to lose weight and it may be, but what Daniel is saying here take away the delicacies of the world and watch what the LORD will do!

“Unload your burden on Adonai, and He will sustain you. He will never permit the righteous to be moved.”

Psalm 55:22 CJB

Let’s take a good look at ourselves today and see if there are some worldly things that we can remove from our lives! Then watch and see what the LORD will do when the worldly stuff is removed!

“To these four boys God had given knowledge and skill in every aspect of learning and wisdom; moreover, Daniel could understand all kinds of visions and dreams.”

Daniel 1:17 CJB

Let’s fill ourselves with the LORD today and let’s watch and see what He’ll fill us with!

May God richly bless your day!

Seek the LORD

“He said, Take your son, your only son, whom you love, Yitz’chak; and go to the land of Moriyah. There you are to offer him as a burnt offering on a mountain that I will point out to you.”

Genesis 22:2 CJB

How awesome is this the LORD sends Abraham to the land of Moriyah meaning in Hebrew Moray=teacher Yah=God! In other words go to the place where God is your teacher!

“Many peoples will go and say, Come, let’s go up to the mountain of Adonai, to the house of the God of Ya’akov! He will teach us about His ways, and we will walk in His paths. For out of Tziyon will go forth Torah, the word of Adonai from Yerushalayim.”

Isaiah 2:3 CJB

Realize, any time we go to the LORD to learn from Him we never will sacrifice anything, because He has provided everything for us! All we have to do is go to Him.

“Avraham called the place Adonai Yir’eh [Adonai will see (to it), Adonai provides]-as it is said to this day, On the mountain Adonai is seen.”

Genesis 22:14 CJB

Today, know you can go to the LORD and He will guide you, teach you and provide for you! May your day be richly blessed!

Shabbat Shalom.

Trust the LORD

“So Sarah laughed to herself, thinking, I am old, and so is my lord; am I to have pleasure again?”

Genesis 18:12 CJB

Very interesting thought here, God the, creator of the universe, tells Abraham and Sarah they’re gonna have a kid and Sarah laughs! How often do we laugh at the promises of the LORD? Maybe say things like that’s not gonna happen or maybe for someone else, not me!

“Instantly the father of the child exclaimed, I do trust-help my lack of trust!”

Mark 9:24 CJB

We can believe in the LORD and still not trust He is going to get us through. We can and do get into situations and say things like “yeah that’s not going to happen, not in this life time or maybe for someone else.” Do we laugh at the LORD?

“As high as the sky is above the earth are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

Isaiah 55:9 CJB

No matter how crazy the instructions of the LORD may seem, we just need to listen, trust and obey. He will see us through! Have a blessed day!

Shabbat Shalom!

Serve the LORD

“If it seems bad to you to serve Adonai, then choose today whom you are going to serve! Will it be the gods your ancestors served beyond the River? Or the gods of Emori, in whose land you are living? As for me and my household, we will serve Adonai.”

Joshua 24:15 CJB

A great question for us also who are we going to serve, the gods of this world or the LORD who created the world?

“Serve Adonai with gladness. Enter His presence with joyful songs.”

Psalm 100:2 CJB

The best way to serve the LORD is be in His word listening and doing what He says!

“The people answered Y’hoshua, We will serve Adonai our God; we will pay attention to what He says.”

Joshua 24:24 CJB

Today, let’s not just say we are going to serve the LORD, let’s just do it! Have a blessed day serving the LORD!

Victory in the LORD

“You have seen everything that Adonai your God has done to all these nations because of you, for it is Adonai your God who fought on your behalf.”

Joshua 23:3 CJB

Anytime you feel like you’re losing the battle you’re in, just remember all the battles He has already won on your behalf.

“But cling to Adonai your God, as you have done to this day.”

Joshua 23:8 CJB

When we remember past victories, it should always encourage us in our present and future battles!

“Therefore take great care to love Adonai your God.”

Joshua 23:11 CJB

Today, let’s have a great day just loving the LORD, knowing He has it all covered!
