Seek truth

“They said to him, Please ask God whether our journey will be successful.”

Judges 18:5 CJB

Often times we can ask people, pastors or priests to talk to God on our behalf and their reply can be just to make us feel good or to benefit themselves!

“The Cohen replied, Don’t worry. Adonai is with you on this journey.”

Judges 18:6 CJB

Nothing has changed in three thousand years, there are people who will say anything to make a buck or tickle our ears! Be careful!

“For the time is coming when people will not have patience for sound teaching, but will cater to their passions and gather around themselves teachers who say whatever their ears itch to hear, Yes, they will stop listening to the truth, but will turn aside to follow myths.”

2 Timothy 4:3-4 CJB

Be careful of just seeking out people to make you feel good or to justify your lifestyle, be warned there are plenty of them out there! Instead, seek the LORD and people who share His truths. Whether you like it or not, hearing and doing what God says will always be best! Have a blessed day seeking the truth!

Follow the LORD

“At that time there was no king in Israel; a man simply did whatever he thought was right.”

Judges 17:6 CJB

Nothing really seems to change. As we look around us, we see so many people just doing what they think is right, even amongst believers!

“But if you will not do this, then you have sinned against Adonai, and you must understand that your sin will find you out.”

Numbers 32:23 CJB

We all need to be careful of doing what we think is right. Instead, we need to seek the LORD and His ways! We will never regret following the LORD and doing what He says!

“Adonai is righteous in all His ways, full of grace in all He does.”

Psalm 145:17 CJB

Today, let’s focus on what the LORD says. When we do, we will always be blessed (Happy)! Also don’t get caught up on what the world around us thinks, it will just make us miserable! Have a blessed day in the LORD.

He draws near

“My home will be with them; I will be their God, and they will be My people.”

Ezekiel 37:27 CJB

As we see all the uneasiness going on in the world around us: divided country, health problems and world tensions, remember, the LORD is near to us and is drawing nearer!

“Come close to God, and He will come close to you. Clean your hands, sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded people!”

James 4:8 CJB

When we draw nearer to God, the things that make us uneasy seem to fade, but when we get enthralled in the things of the world, we get uneasy! As believers, if we allow the world to control us, we are double-minded!

“Those who have the Son have life; those who do not have the Son of God do not have life.”

1 John 5:12 CJB

Today, draw close to God, not the world, knowing the closer we are to Him, the more life we will have!

Have a blessed day.

Shabbat Shalom.

Focus on the LORD

“After this, he fell in love with a woman who lived in Sorek Valley, whose name was D’lilah.”

Judges 16:4 CJB

This is the final downfall of Samson. His falling didn’t happen overnight, it happened a little at a time! With that said, we also need to be careful of what worldly things we allow in!

“How happy is everyone who fears Adonai, who lives by His ways.”

Psalm 128:1 CJB

If we want peace and safety, we will always be better off when we simply walk with the LORD! The world around us may be a mess, but we won’t be!

“Adonai is righteous in all His ways, full of grace in all He does.”

Psalm 145:17 CJB

We will never be sorry when we just walk in the ways of the LORD! Don’t get caught up in worldly traps, simply just walk away! May your day be blessed in the LORD!

Shabbat Shalom.

Just love people

“Shimshon said to them, I will certainly have my revenge on you for doing such a thing; but after I do, I’ll stop.”

Judges 15:7 CJB

Here we see Samson not doing what the LORD commissioned him to do, but instead he avenges himself! The problem with revenge and getting back at people is once we start it’s hard to stop!

“Adonai is a jealous and vengeful God. Adonai avenges; He knows how to be angry. Adonai takes vengeance on His foes and stores up wrath for His enemies.”

Nahum 1:2 CJB

It is so freeing when we just get out of the LORD’s way and walk in His ways, letting Him deal with people! He will deal justly with everyone and He has it all covered, so we can just walk away!

“Don’t owe anyone anything-except to love one another; for whoever loves his fellow human being has fulfilled Torah.”

Romans 13:8 CJB

Life is so much easier when we don’t judge, hold grudges or seek revenge on people! God really has it all covered, so just have a blessed day just showing the love of the LORD to those around us!
