Run to the LORD

“The people of Best-Shemesh asked, Who can stand before Adonai, this holy God? To whom can we send it, to get it away from us?”

1 Samuel 6:20 CJB

The answer is no one can get away from God, not believers or unbelievers. Everyone will be brought before Him! Strangely, the world around is trying to send God away!

“In the name of Myself I have sworn, from My mouth has rightly gone out, a word that will return – that to Me every knee will bow and every tongue will swear about Me that only in Adonai are justice and strength. All who rage against Him will come to Him ashamed.”

Isaiah 45:23-24 CJB also Romans 14:11

The LORD knows all and sees all, so we really can’t get away with anything, even though we still try!

“But if you will not do this, then you have sinned against Adonai, and you must understand that your sin will find you out.”

Numbers 32:23 CJB

Knowing we can’t get away with anything, the good news is we can always confess!

“If we acknowledge our sins, then, since He is trustworthy and just, He will forgive them and purify us from all wrongdoing.”

1 John 1:9 CJB

Today don’t run from God, just confess, repent and seek the LORD!

Have a blessed day in Him!

Be careful of fakes

“Adoanai began oppressing the people of Ashdod and its surrounding area with tumors.”

1 Samuel 5:6 CJB

The false god of Dagon inspired the Philistines to be heavy-handed and mean. As we look around us, we see our governments may be doing the same! What happened to Dagon? The LORD tipped him over and he’ll do the same to the pagan governments amongst us.

“But early the next morning, when the people of Ashod got up, there was Dagon, fallen down with his face to the ground before the ark of Adonai. They took Dagon and set him in his place again.”

1 Samuel 5:3 CJB

That’s what happens when we follow false gods: they crash, have to be reset or rebooted! The LORD will always be left standing. Be careful of where and what consumes your time!

“Let them praise the name of Adonai, for His name alone is exalted; His glory is above both earth and heaven.”

Psalm 148:13 CJB

If you’re feeling depressed or oppressed, don’t look to worldly solutions, but instead look to the LORD!

Have a blessed day in Him!

Victory

“Then she named the child I-Khavod [without glory], saying, The glory has departed from Israel; because the ark of God had been captured, and because of her father-in-law and husband (are dead).”

1 Samuel 4:21 CJB

Our present situation may be difficult and not going well, but don’t allow that to dictate our future! Why? Because we have victory in Jesus!

“Sing to Adonai, bless His name! Proclaim His victory day after day!”

Psalm 96:2 CJB

When we are singing to the LORD and proclaiming His victory (Salvation), our eyes will be focused on His victory, not our passing situations.

“Adonai, I love the house where You live, the place where Your glory abides.”

Psalm 26:8 CJB

Today, don’t let your present dictate your future, because our future is with the LORD and it’s going to be great!

Have a blessed day!

He knows

“She gave birth to a son, and he named him Gershom [foreigner there], for he said, I have been a foreigner in a foreign land.”

Exodus 2:22 CJB

The LORD is completely aware that we are strangers in a strange land. He also knows our names and hears all our calls and is right there with us every step of the way!

“On the day of my trouble I am calling on You, for You will answer me.”

Psalm 86:7 CJB

So no matter how crazy and insane the world around us gets, the LORD sees, knows and hears us! The good news is He has a perfect plan for us, His plan!

“For I know what plans I have in mind for you,’ says Adonai, plans for well-being, not for bad things; so that you can have hope and a future.”

Jeremiah 29:11 CJB

Today, as crazy as things may seem, know that the LORD hears; also remember, we are just passing through!

Have a blessed day!

Shabbat Shalom…

Quiet

“Adonai came and stood, then spoke as the other times: Sh’mu’el (Samuel)! Sh’mu’el! Then Sh’mu’el said, Speak; Your servant is listening.”

1 Samuel 3:10 CJB

How often does the LORD call us and we have too much noise going on around us and we don’t hear or listen?

“The voice of Adonai is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, Adonai over rushing waters, the voice of Adonai in power, the voice of Adonai in splendor.”

Psalm 29:3-4 CJB

The LORD is always speaking and giving us direction, problem is we aren’t listening or we allow the distractions of the world get in the way!

“He said, Go outside, and stand on the mountain before Adonai; and right then and there, Adonai went past. A mighty blast of wind tore the mountains apart and broke the rocks in pieces before Adonai, but Adonai was not in the wind. After the wind came an earthquake, but Adonai was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake, fire broke out; but Adonai was not in the fire. And after the fire came a quiet, subdued voice.”

1 Kings 19:11-12 CJB

In other words, the LORD isn’t in the noise, but in the quiet! So if you’re are not hearing from the LORD, simply just turn off the noise. Have a blessed day listening for the LORD!

Shabbat Shalom.
