Who do you trust

“But today you have rejected your God, who Himself saves you from all your disasters and distress. You have said to Him, No! Put a king over us! So now, present yourselves before Adonai by your tribes and families.”

1 Samuel 10:19 CJB

Even though the LORD delivered Israel many times in the past, they still wanted a king to protect them! The sad thing is we can do the same, wanting to be like the rest of the world.

“You yourselves, as living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be cohanim set apart for God to offer spiritual sacrifice acceptable to Him through Yeshua the Messiah.”

1 Peter 2:5 CJB

The LORD has really done everything for us. He saves us, protects us and cleanses us from all sin! So we shouldn’t turn to anyone or anything else but Him!

“How blessed the man who trusts in Adonai and does not look to the arrogant or to those who rely on things that are false.”

Psalm 40:4 CJB

Today, let’s look to the LORD for everything and not put any hope or trust in things of the world!

Have a blessed day!

Turn around

“Pharaoh summoned Moshe and Aharon and said to them, This time I have sinned: Adonai is in the right; I and my people are in the wrong.”

Exodus 9:27 CJB

Here Pharaoh finally admits he sinned, but doesn’t repent!

“From that time on, Yeshua began proclaiming, Turn from your sins to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near!”

Matthew 4:17 CJB

We all have sinned at one time or the other; we can admit our sins and that’s a start, but we need to stop and turn from them (repent) and get on the right track!

“Or perhaps you despise the riches of His kindness, forbearance and patience; because you don’t realize that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to turn you from your sins.”

Romans 2:4 CJB

Realize that no matter how bad we think we are, remember the LORD’S kindness, forgiveness and grace is so much bigger! Have a blessed day knowing the LORD is right there waiting to hear you repent so He will forgive!

Shabbat Shalom.

Be still

“As they were going down, at the edge of the city, Sh’mu’el said to Sha’ul, Tell the servant to go on ahead; so the servant went on. But you, stand still now, because I want you to hear what God has said.”

1 Samuel 9:27 CJB

Often times this is what we need to do stand still and listen to the LORD!

“Be still before Adonai; wait patiently till He comes. Don’t be upset by those whose way succeeds because of their wicked plans.”

Psalm 37:7 CJB

To stand still and listen to the LORD may mean shut the T.V., radio or internet off and just listen!

“Desist, and learn that I am God, supreme over the nations, supreme over the earth.”

Psalm 46:10 CJB

Today, if you want to hear from the LORD? Then shut the noise off and listen!

Have a blessed day listening for the voice of the LORD.

Shabbat Shalom.

Don’t push

“Adonai said to Sh’mu’el, Do what they ask, and set up a king for them. So Sh’mu’el told the men of Israel, Each of you, return to his city.”

1 Samuel 8:22 CJB

If we push and push to get our own way, no matter what the LORD says He’ll allow us to, but it will never turn out well!

“He gave them what they wanted but sent meagerness into their souls.”

Psalm 106:15 CJB

Be careful of pushing the LORD so hard to get our way. Let’s stop and pray and seek His ways in everything and then do it! Our way is meager at best, His way is abundant and blessed!

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not My ways, says Adonai.”

Isaiah 55:8

Today, let’s look to the LORD and His ways because they are always going to be better!

Have a blessed day!

Remove the junk!

“Sh’me’el (Samuel) addressed all the people of Israel; he said: If you are returning to Adonai with all your heart, then be done with the foreign gods and the Astarot that you have with you, and direct your hearts to Adonai. If you will serve only Him, He will rescue you from the power of the P’lishtim.”

1 Samuel 7:3 CJB

Like the children of Israel, do you feel worn out and defeated? This is how Israel felt and Samuel is telling them the key is stop worshipping false gods.

“Come, let’s bow down and worship; let’s kneel before Adonai who made us.”

Psalm 95:6 CJB

We all need to ask ourselves how much time do we really spend with the LORD? What consumes our day, the LORD or other stuff?

“The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth.”

Psalm 145:18 CJB

Today, let’s really take account of our day and spend more time with the LORD! You will not be disappointed!

Have a blessed day in Him.
