Compassion

“David continued up the road to Mount of Olives, weeping as he went up, head covered and barefoot; and all the people with him had their heads covered and wept as they went up.”
2 Samuel 15:30 CJB

Do we have this passion about people? do we weep over them for heath, finances and, most importantly, salvation?

“When you call to me and pray to me, I will listen to you.”
Jeremiah 29:12 CJB

We need to have a passion and a desire to pray for people to know Messiah and accept Him as savior! The world needs a cure and that cure is Jesus!

“Then He said to them, As you go throughout the world, proclaim the Good News to all creation.”
Mark 15:15 CJB

Today, let’s have a passion for people and a deep concern for their salvation!
Have a blessed day.
Shabbat Shalom!

Don’t mix

“However, the king said, “Let him return to his own house, but he is not to appear before the king.”
2 Samuel 14:24 CJB

Like David, we need to be careful of who and what we let into our lives!

“Then Jesus said to them, Take heed beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees.”
Matthew 16:6 CJB

When we allow worldly stuff into our lives, we can and do get off track! What we need to do is continue seeking the LORD!

“And you will seek Me, you will find Me, provided you seek Me wholeheartedly.”
Jeremiah 29:13 CJB

Today, to keep worldliness out of our lives, seek the LORD in everything!
Have a blessed day seeking Him.

Shalom

“When King David heard about these things, he became very angry.”
2 Samuel 13:21 CJB

We see here David getting angry, but doesn’t actually deal with the issues. Often times when we get angry, we end up making harsh and bad decisions, not dealing with the situation!

“May Adonai give strength to His people! May Adonai bless His people with shalom!”
Psalm 29:11 CJB

When adverse situations happen, we really need the peace of the LORD, not the influence of the world!

“For the sake of my family and friends, I say, Shalom be within you!”
Psalm 128:6 CJB

So today, don’t get angry, seek the LORD and His Shalom (peace).
Have a blessed day!

Be careful of judging

“David exploded with anger against the man and said to Natan, As Adonai lives, the man who did this deserves to die!”
2 Samuel 12:5 CJB

We need to be careful of how we judge others, especially since we may have done or are doing the same thing!

“Don’t judge, and you won’t be judged. Don’t condemn, and you won’t be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.”
Luke 6:37 CJB

We need to listen and pray before we speak. Often times, we have no idea what is happening in other people’s lives, so we should show grace!

“Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted; and forgive each other, just as in the Messiah God has also forgiven you.”
Ephesians 4:32 CJB

Today, realize, the LORD has forgiven us and gives us grace, so should we!
Have a blessed day!

Confess don’t hide

“In the letter he wrote, Put Uriyah on the front lines of the fiercest fighting; then pull back from him, so that he will be wounded and killed.”
2 Samuel 11:15 CJB

Here we see David trying to cover up his sin instead of just confessing it! Sin always will blind and bind us when we continue in it!

“But if you will not do this, then you have sinned against Adonai, and you must understand that your sin will find you out.”
Numbers 32:23 CJB

Sin will bring us sorrow and it will affect our whole family! What do we do? Confess!

“If we acknowledge our sins, then, since He is trustworthy and just, He will forgive them and purify us from all wrongdoing.”
1 John 1:9 CJB

Today, realize, if we just confess our sins and not hide them the LORD will free us and we can move on to better things!
May your day be richly blessed as we seek the LORD!
