What a great question from the LORD! The answer is the LORD has done nothing to harm us! He has given us life, saved our souls and is preparing a place for us to be with Him for all eternity!

I brought you up from the land of Egypt. I redeemed you from life of slavery. I sent Moshe, Aharon and Miryam to lead you.”
Micah 6:4 CJB

We are in the same boat, saved from the world, redeemed from slavery in sin! Jesus gave us His word (the Bible) to guide us and give us direction. But, yet we, too, whine and complain!

“”Human being, you have already been told what is good, what Adonai demands of you-no more than to act justly, love grace and walk in purity with your God.”
Micah 6:8 CJB

Today, with all the wickedness and darkness going on around us, we as believers need to celebrate salvation and reflect the light of the LORD, not the gloom of the world!

“I will cut off your carved images and standing-stones from among you; no longer will you worship what your own hands have made.”
Micah 5:12 CJB

What a good word for us today, to know that the LORD will cut off all the man-made idols that people worship, the things that distract us from the LORD, like politics, recreation and different forms of entertainment!

“I hate those who serve worthless idols; as for me, I trust in Adonai.”
Psalm 31:6 CJB

We also need to hate the worthless idols made by men, whether it’s man-made politicians, celebrities or buildings! Be careful of falling into the idol trap!

“Their land is full of idols; everyone worships the work of his hands, what his own fingers have made.”
Isaiah 2:8 CJB

The world is full of idols that people worship. They are literally everywhere we look! So we have to be on guard!

“The idols will be completely abolished.”
Isaiah 2:18 CJB

One day the LORD will completely abolish all man-made carved images and standing-stones! For now we need to do our part and refuse to bow down to them or let them consume our lives!
Today, let our minds and hearts be filled with the LORD!

The same goes for us at the heat of the day, the LORD appears! Life can and does get real heated at times! Whether it’s politics, jobs and health issues, to name a few things. Life can and does get heated, that’s when the LORD appears, even though He is always here!

“When you seek Me, you will find Me, provided you seek Me wholeheartedly.”
Jeremiah 29:13 CJB

When the LORD appears, He comforts us, protects us and directs us, but understand He may not take the heat or pressure away, that’s how we stay engaged! We need to understand this life isn’t our home we are just passing through!

“Haven’t I ordered you, Be strong, be bold? So don’t be afraid or downhearted, because Adonai your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9 CJB

Today, understand the answers and outcomes we want may not happen, but know this, the LORD will appear and get you through whatever situation you are in! We just need to put our hope and trust in Him!
Shabbat Shalom!

“He will judge between many peoples and arbitrate for many nations far away. Then they will hammer their swords into plow-blades and their spears into pruning-knives; nations will not raise swords at each other, and they will no longer learn war.”
Micah 4:3 CJB

This is speaking of a time yet to come and this hasn’t happened yet! So while we see the darkness, destruction and the depressing scenes going on around us, don’t worry, because one day the LORD will make it all right! We just aren’t there yet!

“Instead, each person will sit under his vine and fig tree, with no one to upset him, for the mouth of Adonai-Tzva’ot has spoken.”

Again we are not here yet, this day of peace with the LORD is coming, but right now we can have peace in the LORD, regardless of the world around us!

“What I am leaving with you is shalom (peace)-I am giving you my shalom. I don’t give the way the world gives. Don’t let yourselves be upset or frightened.”
John 14:27 CJB

Today, if you’re looking for peace in the world you won’t find it! But if you’re looking for peace in the LORD that you can find!

“I said, Please listen, leaders of Ya’akov, rulers of the the house of Israel: Shouldn’t you know what justice is?”
Micah 3:1 CJB

What Micah is saying here is that the people are going before leaders and magistrates of Israel who should know better, they should know the laws and be upright, but they are not! Really does sound like our leaders today, politicians, justices and even church leaders conducting themselves unjustly, while judging others!

“Yet you hate what is good and love what is bad. You strip off their skin from them and their flesh from their bones, you eat the flesh of My people, skin them alive, break their bones; yes, they chop them in pieces, like flesh in a caldron, like meat in a pot.”
Micah 3:2-4 CJB

This could start to sound depressing, but the reality is the world in its present state is filled with deceit and evil. The Good News is that the LORD will not overlook it and He will keep us safe! We just need to put all our hope and trust in Him! No matter how things may look around us!

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not My ways, says Adonai.”
Isaiah 55:8 CJB

So today, no matter how the elections look, no matter who the leader is remember, the LORD is on the throne and everything is working according to His perfect plan! So take a deep breath and trust the LORD, putting all your hope in Him!
