Rejoice in His Word

“This is the day Adonai has made, a day for us to rejoice and be glad.”
Psalm 118:24 CJB

Everyday is a day to rejoice! Why? No matter what is going on in our lives good or bad, remember we are saved and one day soon and very soon we will be in Adonai’s Sukkot (tabernacle)!

“Those who fear You rejoice at the sight of me, because I put my hope in Your word.”
Psalm 119:74 CJB

Do we hope in Adonai and His word or the world and its foolish words?

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
John 1:1 CJB

In other words when we cling to the word of God we are clinging to God!
Today, more than ever we need to to be clinging to God!
Have a blessed day rejoicing in His Word!
Simchat Torah (rejoicing in instruction, law or word).

Be a good example

“He lived in the manner of Asa his father and did not turn away from it, doing what was right from Adonai’s perspective; although the high places were not taken away-the people still sacrificed and presented offerings on the high places.”
1 Kings 22:43-44 CJB

What a picture to see here Jehoshaphat wasn’t a bad king he was similar to his father Asa! His walk was good with God, but like his father, he didn’t remove the high places and closed a blind eye towards sin! What we see here is children will often times follow their parents’ example!

“Fathers, don’t irritate your children and make them resentful, or they will become discouraged.”
Colossians 3:21 CJB

In other words, parents need to be leading their children in all the ways of Adonai, not just picking and choosing, but in all His ways, being careful not to give bad examples!

“So obey the mitzvot (commands) of Adonai your God, living as He directs and fearing Him.”
Deuteronomy 8:6 CJB

Today, let’s be examples of God, reflecting His glorious light!
Have a blessed day in Him!

God sees all

“Ach’av (Ahab) said to Eliyahu (Elijah), My enemy! You’ve found me! He answered, Yes, I have found you; because you have given yourself over to do what is evil from Adonai’s perspective.”
1 Kings 21:20 CJB

Here we see Ahab probably believed he got away with murder and got what he wanted! Problem is: God sees and knows everything!

“Don’t delude yourselves: no one makes a fool of God! A person reaps what he sows.”
Galatians 6:7 CJB

Don’t think you can have a God—centered life and then have a sneaky, ungodly life! Understand you will be found out! Life is always going to be better when we simply walk and live in Gods ways!

“Doing Your will, my God, is my joy; Your Torah (instruction) is my inmost being.”
Psalm 40:8 CJB

Today, let’s live openly before Adonai and don’t think you can live a secret life, because you won’t get away with it!
Have a blessed day!

Sukkot

“Finally, everyone remaining from all the nations that came to attack Yerushalayim(Jerusalem) will go up every year to worship the king, Adonai-Tzva’ot, and to keep the festival of Sukkot.”
Zechariah 14:16 CJB

This festival is something we all should be aware of! Why? Because we will be celebrating it for all eternity when we Sukkot (Tabernacle) with Yeshua!

“He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings you will find refuge; His truth is a shield and protection.”
Psalm 91:4 CJB

When we Sukkot or tabernacle with Adonai, we will always have joy! The beautiful thing is we can do it daily, celebrating it once a year is just a bonus blessing!

“Since I am going and preparing a place for you, I will return to take you with Me; so that where I am, you may be also.”
John 14:3 CJB

Today, let’s look for opportunity’s to spend time with Adonai and let’s also take the time to see Yeshua in all the feasts and festivals of God!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!

Be complete

“Then he said to the king, Here is what Adonai says: Because you have let escape the man I had given over to be destroyed, you will pay with your life for his life and with your people for his people.”
1 Kings 20:42 CJB

How often does Adonai give us victories, but we don’t complete them? This is what happened here. Adonai gave Ahab victory over Syria, but he just didn’t finish the job!

“He did what was right from Adonai’s perspective, but not wholeheartedly.”
2 Chronicles 25:2 CJB

When Adonai gives us instruction we need to wholeheartedly and completely do as He asks!

“How happy are those who observe His instruction, who seek Him wholeheartedly!”
Psalm 119:2 CJB

Today, we need to look to completing and finishing everything that God gives us to do! Remember, He completely saved us and that should encourage us to not give up!
May your day be filled with blessings completing the tasks of God!
Shabbat Shalom!
