Don’t imitate the world

“Rather, he lived in the manner of the kings of Israel and made cast metal images for the Baals.”
2 Chronicles 28:2 CJB

We all need to be careful of doing things as the world does or acting like the world around us!

“At that time there was no king in Israel; a man simply did whatever he thought was right.”
Judges 17:6 CJB

We have the same problem today, the world rejects the LORD and refuses to walk in His ways! Even worse the world is doing everything it can to remove God from everything! We as believers need to not give in!

“Moreover, I tell you, whoever acknowledges me in the presence of others, the Son of Man will also acknowledge in the presence of God’s angels. But whoever disowns Me before others will be disowned before God’s angels.”
Luke 12:8-9 CJB

Today, don’t fall into the traps of the world, but instead fall into the loving arms of the LORD!
Have a blessed day in Him.

Joy in the LORD

“Thus Yotam (Jotham) became strong, because he prepared his ways [of doing things] before Adonai his God.”
2 Chronicles 27:6 CJB

What great advice! Before we do or say anything we should consult the LORD to do things His way.

“How happy is everyone who fears Adonai, who lives by His ways.”
Psalm 128:1 CJB

Life will always be better when we do things the LORD’S way! We will still have the issues of life good days and bad days. But when we are in the LORD’S way, it’s always going to be better!

“How happy the people who live in such conditions! How happy the people whose God is Adonai!”
Psalm 144:15 CJB

Today, the world may be depressing and discouraging, but in the LORD we will have joy!
Have a blessed day living in Him!

The LORD is with you

“There he went into a cave and spent the night. Then the word of Adonai came to him; he said to him, What are you doing here, Eliyahu? He answered, I have been very zealous for Adonai the God of armies, because the people of Israel have abandoned your covenant, broken down your alters and killed your prophets with the sword, Now I’m the only one left, and they’re coming after me to kill me too.”
1 Kings 19:9-10 CJB

Often times we can feel all alone and like no one is on our side! We can also feel abandoned even by the LORD, but nothing can be farther from the truth!

“For the sake of His great reputation, Adonai will not abandon His people; because it has pleased Adonai to make you a people for Himself.”
1 Samuel 12:22 CJB

Two things to see here! First, we are not alone there are many people that are in the same boat as we are in! Second, the LORD is always with us!

“Still, I will spare seven thousand in Israel, every knee that hasn’t bent down before Ba’al and every mouth that has not kissed him.”
1 Kings 19:18 CJB

In other words Elijah felt alone, but the fact is seven thousand didn’t bow down and the same goes for us, we are not alone and the LORD has us covered! Today, let’s be bold for the LORD and not fear the pressure of the world!
May your day be blessed!
Shabbat Shalom!

Consult the LORD

“He consulted God during the lifetime of Z’kharyahu (Zechariah), who understood visions of God; and as long as he consulted Adonai, God gave him success.”
2 Chronicles 26:5 CJB

When we place our lives in the hands of the LORD, we will have success in Him! When we trust in the world is when disaster hits!

“Desist, and learn that I am God, supreme over the nations, supreme over the earth.”
Psalm 46:10 CJB

When we step out our door, open our computer or get on our phone, we are entering the battlefield! Don’t do it without consulting the LORD!

“Come to me, all of you who are struggling and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Matthew 11:28-30 CJB

We all need the LORD! We need to consult him when we are struggling, have a burden and even when things are going well! We need Yeshua (Jesus)!
Have a blessed day in Him!
Shabbat Shalom!

Wholeheartedly for the LORD

“He did what was right from Adonai’s perspective, but not wholeheartedly.”
2 Chronicles 25:2 CJB

Amaziah did what was right according to the LORD, but he did it halfheartedly! In other words he had no passion for the LORD and basically just went through the motions! Like some believers today.

“Clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with cries of joy!”
Psalm 47:1 CJB

We all really need to have are joy and a passion for the LORD! We need to serve the LORD with a whole heart! Be careful of just going through the motions.

“As a result, the anger of Adonai blazed up against Amatzyah, and He sent him a prophet, who said to him, Why have you sought out the gods of those people, when they couldn’t even rescue their own people from you?”
2 Chronicles 25:15 CJB

Do we have a passion for the LORD or has our passion faded? Here Amaziah gets a great victory from the LORD, but seeks the useless gods of the world, who can’t save you!

“So, because you are lukewarm, neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of my mouth!”
Revelation 3:16 CJB

Today, if you feel like your passion for the LORD has faded, it may be because you’ve allowed the world to influence you! Too much news, talk radio or social media sites might be the problem. To have a passion for the LORD, get into His word and spend time with Him!
Have a blessed day seeking Him out!
