Remove sin

“Esther replied, If it pleases the king, let the Jews in Shushan act again tomorrow in accordance with today’s decree; also have Haman’s ten sons hanged on the gallows.”
Esther 9:13 CJB

We can look at Esther’s request as being brutal, but we can take an example from it! How? We all from, time to time, have a sin or a situation that plagues us and it needs to be removed!

“The king ordered these things done-a decree was issued in Shushan, and they hanged Haman’s ten sons.”
Esther 9:14 CJB

This is what Esther did. She removed Haman’s sons so they wouldn’t come back to haunt or hunt them down, infect them with fear, anxiety or even death! Remember Haman was an Agagite, from the Amalekites who God commanded Saul to remove and didn’t! Reference: 1 Samuel 15:8

“Make me hear of Your love in the morning, because I rely on You. Make me know the way I should walk, because I entrusted myself to You.”
Psalm 143:8 CJB

Today, let’s spend some time looking to see what may need to be removed from our lives that keeps coming back and biting us! Maybe it’s a FB feed that makes you angry, a news feed that makes you hostile or a radio show that gets you heated. It may be time to remove them! Then look to the LORD, because He is amazing, loving and so forgiving!
May your day be richly blessed, seeking the LORD and not the world!

Walk in light

“For the Jews, all was light, gladness, joy and honor.”
Esther 8:16 CJB

This is what the LORD offers, LIGHT! Jesus is the gladness, joy and honor that we all really crave and need!

“Yeshua spoke to them again: I am the light of the world; whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness but will have the light which gives life.”
John 8:12 CJB

We will never have real joy in this dark world, it will always give us anxiety, darkness and fear! But, in the LORD we will have His hope of Salvation!

“Adonai is alive! Blessed is my Rock! Exalted be the God of my Salvation.”
Psalm 18:47 CJB

Today, don’t look at the darkness we see in this ever getting darker world, in fact don’t let it sway and depress you! But, instead look to the light, gladness and honor we see in the LORD!
Have a blessed day in Him!

Look in the mirror

“So they hanged Haman on the gallows he had prepared for Mordecai. Then the king’s anger subsided.”
Esther 7:30 CJB

Haman thought he was getting away with his hatred towards the Jews and eliminating them. Realize you can’t go against God and win!

“But if you will not do this, then you have sinned against Adonai and you must understand that your sin will find you out.”
Numbers 32:23 CJB

In the time we are living, we can all see the hatred towards the people of God, which we are grafted into! We need to understand no matter how bad it gets, like in the time of Esther, God will deal with it! Realize, we can’t get away with anything!

“Don’t delude yourselves: no one makes a fool of God! A person reaps what he sows.”
Galatians 6:7 CJB

Today, instead of getting mad at the evil happening around us, let’s look to the LORD who will deal with it all! Also, before we act like a judge and jury, spend some time checking your own heart!
Have a blessed day looking to the LORD!

Be patient

“The king asked, What honor or distinction was coffered on Mordekhai for this? The king’s servants answered, Nothing was done for him.”
Esther 6:3 CJB

Remember, Mordekhai uncovered a plot to kill the king and was never recognized, honored or rewarded for this, but in the LORD’S timing everything works out!

“My soul, wait in silence for God alone, because my hope comes from Him.”
Psalm 62:5 CJB

When we need to be recognized or acknowledged for something, we need to wait for the LORD to do it! When we boast or push to get or take credit for something, we often times look foolish!

“Let someone else praise you, not your own mouth, a stranger and not your own lips.”
Proverbs 27:2 CJB

Today, be careful of looking for praise, recognition or acknowledgement, but instead wait for the LORD and praise Him!
Have a blessed day waiting for the LORD to work!

Boast in the LORD

“Haman boasted to them about vast wealth, his many sons, and everything connected with how the king had promoted him and given him precedence over the other officials and servants of the king.”
Esther 5:11 CJB

We all need to be careful of what and who we boast about, unless it’s the LORD!

“When I boast, it will be about Adonai; the humble will hear of it and be glad.”
Psalm 34:2 CJB

When we boast in ourselves, politics or finances, it will always bring us down! When we boast about the LORD, we will always be glad! But boasting about things of the world, we will always be brought down!

“Yet none of this does me any good at all, as long as I keep seeing Mordekhai the Jew remaining seated at the King’s Gate.”
Esther 5:13 CJB

Here we see Haman boasting in himself, until he sees Mordekhai the Jew (man of God) and it just makes him angry! That’s what happens when we boast in ourselves, something will always anger us!

“We will boast in our God all day and give thanks to your name forever.”
Psalm 44:8 CJB

Today, let’s boast in the LORD, who will always make us glad!
Have a blessed day in Him!
