Deny ourselves

“It is a Shabbat of complete rest for you, and you are to deny yourselves. This is a permanent regulation.”
Leviticus 16:31 CJB

Our God always wants us to rest in what He has done, He is our perfect atonement and our perfect salvation!

“Adonai is alive! Blessed is my Rock! Exalted be the God of my Salvation.”
Psalm 18:47 CJB

As we rest in Adonai, remember the more we deny ourselves the more we exalt Adonai!

“He must become more important, while I become less important.”
John 30:30 CJB

Today, let’s make life less about ourselves and more about Adonai, who has saved us!
Have a blessed day rejoicing in Him!

Be careful

“Tell the people of Israel, When any man has a discharge from his body, the discharge is unclean.”
Leviticus 15:2 CJB

We know this is talking about physical discharges, but let’s think for a moment of how many verbal, written or thoughts we have that are discharged from us are unclean!

“Out of the same mouth come blessings and cursing! Brothers, it isn’t right for things to be this way.”
James 3:10 CJB

It is very strange that out of our mouths come great blessings and vile cursing also! One moment we can be singing praises and the next cursing someone! What do we do? One of the best things is to be in the word and in fellowship!

“Set a guard, Adonai, over my mouth; keep watch at the door of my lips.”
Psalm 141:3 CJB

Today, may we watch what we say and do being careful of discharging unclean things!
Have a blessed day sharing Adonai with others!

Walk in His ways

“Such is the law for all kinds of tzaraat(leprous) sores, for a crusted area, for tzaraat in garment, for a house, for a swelling, for a scab and for a bright spot, to determine when it is clean and when it is unclean. this is the law concerning tzara`at.”
Leviticus 14:54-57 CJB

Understand that this isn’t just about keeping the law, it’s more to teach us to understand what is clean and unclean, what is right and what is wrong!

“If you love me, you will keep My commands.”
John 14:15 CJB

Andonai really wants and desires us to walk in His ways, knowing what and what not to do! When we live Gods way life is always going to be better!

“If you keep My commands, you will stay in My love-just as I have kept My Father’s commands and stay in His love.”
John 15:10 CJB

Today, don’t look at the Old Testament scriptures as burdensome, but instead as a way to see right and wrong and to walk in Gods ways!
Have a blessed day!

Elevate God

“Then the fire of Adonai fell. It consumed the burnt offering, the wood, the stones and the dust; and licked up the water in the trench.”
1 Kings 18:38 CJB

Adonai will always remove the obstacles that are in the way of Him doing His plans! We need to also, so we can elevate Adonia!

“When the people saw it, they fell on their faces and said, Adonai is God! Adonai is God!”
1 Kings 18:39 CJB

It’s always intresting when God removes obstacles and a miracle happens, people suddenly worship God! Sadly most go back to their old sinful ways.

“Eliyahu said to them, Seize the prophets of Ba’al! Don’t let one of them escape! They seized them; and Eliyahu brought them down to Vadi Kishon and killed them there.”
1 Kings 18:40 CJB

Today, as Adonai removes the obstacles that are in the way, we should do the same and remove the obstacles that get in the way of serving Him!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!

Rest

“On the seventh day the Cohen is to examine him again, and if the sore has faded and hasn’t spread on the skin, then the Cohen is to declare him clean-it is only a scab, so he is to wash his clothes and be clean.”
Leviticus 13:6 CJB

There are a few things we can see here! First: on the seventh day, seven is the number of completion. On the seventh day we rest!

“Remember the day, Shabbat (seventh), to set it apart for God.”
Exodus 20:8 CJB

God created the world in six days and rested on the seventh and so should we! When we are forgiven, we should rest in His salvation! The second things we can be reminded of is that we all have scars from the sins we’ve committed, not to dwell upon, but instead to remind us of how great Adonai is, and that He forgives!

“He has removed our sins from us as far as the east is from the west.”
Psalm 103:12 CJB

Today, let’s rejoice in the fact that we are made clean by the blood of Yeshua! So don’t dwell on the scars of our past! Instead let them remind us of how great our God is!
Have a blessed day resting in Adonai!
Shabbat Shalom!
