Peace comes from Adonai

“Adonai be the judge; let Him decide between you and me. May He take my side and rescue me from Your power!”
1 Samuel 24:16 CJB or 24:15 NKJB

In many of the situations we go through even daily we need to allow God be the judge! This will give us a peace that we all really need!

“As high as the sky is above the earth are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.”
Isaiah 55:9 CJB

David probably didn’t quite understand why Saul hated him and was in hot pursuit of him, but he realized God had a perfect plan!

“A person whose desire rests on You, You preserve in perfect peace, because he trusts in You.”
Isaiah 26;3 CJB

Today, even if we don’t understand why things are happening, remember we will have peace when we trust Adonai!
Have a blessed day!

Share your testimony

“Sha’ul (Saul) went along one side of the mountain, while David and his men went along the other. David was hurrying to get away from Sha’ul, while Sha’ul and his men were trying to surround David and his men in order to capture them. But then a messenger came to Sha’ul (Saul), saying, Hurry, come, because the Philistines are invading the country.”
1 Samuel 23:26-27 CJB

Here we see Saul in hot pursuit of David and then God steps in and saves him at the last minute!

“And everyone assembled here will know Adonai does save by sword or spear. For this is Adonai’s battle, and He will hand you over to us.”
1 Samuel 17:47 CJB

We all have been in close calls, near misses and have missed total disasters that we didn’t even know about! How? Because Adonai has always got our backs!

“Come and listen, all you who fear God, and I will tell what He has done for me.”
Psalm 66:16 CJB

Today, we all have a testimony to tell about what God has done! Today may be a good day to share that testimony with someone who may just need to hear it!
Have a blessed day sharing the goodness of Adonai!

Assemble

“Stay with me; don’t be afraid; because the one who is seeking my life seeks yours too. You’ll be safe with me.”
1 Samuel 22:23 CJB

Like David, who was running from the evil world that was trying to kill him, so were many other people and they all seemed to gather unto one another with Adonai at the center of them!

“Say: Save us, God who can save us! Gather and rescue us from the nations; so that we can thank Your Holy Name and glory in praising You.”
1 Chronicles 16:35 CJB

In my personal opinion, I see this very thing happening in our country and, quite frankly, the world where persecution is coming! The best thing we can do is gather together in the name of Adonai!

“Assemble, come and gather together, you refugees from nations! Those carrying their wooden idols are ignorant, they pray to a god that cannot save.”
Isaiah 45:20 CJB

Today, realize we are refugees, aliens and homeless people waiting to be gathered up with Adonai in His home! The world that attacks are just godless people worshipping worthless gods that cannot save!
The Good News is we are saved and belong to Adonai!
Have a blessed day rejoicing in our salvation!

Don’t be afraid

“These remarks were not lost on David, and he became very much afraid of Akhish king of Gat.”
1 Samuel 21:13 CJB

As David was running from Saul as fast as he could, he started running into other enemies and became increasingly afraid! We can do the same. We have great church families that we are bold with, then we get to work or school and we become timid!

“Be strong, be bold, don’t be afraid or frightened of them, for Adonai your God is going with you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”
Deuteronomy 31:6 CJB

When we step out into the world we can get afraid of rejection, persecution or just not fitting in! None of these things will hurt us in any way, so don’t be afraid. Adonai is with you!

“Remember what I told you, A slave is not greater than his master. If they persecuted Me, they will persecute you too; if they kept My word, they will keep yours too.”
John 15:20 CJB

Today, realize Yeshua was persecuted and we as believers shouldn’t expect anything less! So just go out and be bold for Adonai!
Have a blessed day sharing His word!

Fix your eyes on Adonai

“Y’honatan (Jonathan) said to David, Go in peace; because we have sworn, both of us, in the name of Adonai, that Adonai will be between me and you, and between my descendants and yours, forever.”
1 Samuel 20:42 CJB

There are times in our lives that we have to leave a situation! David and Jonathan are good friends but, Saul was going to kill him, the best thing for David to do was run! Often times we need to do the same, just leave a bad situation and focus on Adonai!

“Focus your minds on the things above, not on things here on earth.”
Colossians 3:2 CJB

How do we know when to leave a situation? A few things to help you know if you should walk away! First: is God glorified? Second: does the situation line up with the Bible? Third: is it harmful to you? Theses are just a few things to help make a decision to stay or go!

“A person whose desire rests on You, You preserve in perfect peace, because he trusts in You.”
Isaiah 26:3 CJB

Today, let’s look to Adonai in every situation and decision we make and God will give peace in what to do!
Have a blessed day!
