Be upright

“So he said to his servants, See, Yo’av’s field is close to mine, and he has barley there; and set it on fire. Avshalom’s servants set the field on fire.”
2 Samuel 14:30 CJB

What do we do when we don’t get our way or what we want? Do we set fields on fire? This is what we see here Absalom does just that when Joab wouldn’t see him!

“Adonai, you are kind and forgiving, full of grace toward all who call on you.”
Psalm 86:5 CJB

See in this story here with Absalom he wanted his father David to forgive him, but David wouldn’t see him! So Absalom get’s desperate burns Joabs field so he would beg David to see him and forgive him! Problem is when we try to force people into things, it will always be halfhearted! The good news for us is we never have to corse Yeshua into hearing us because He is always available!

“Adonai is close to all who call on him, to all who sincerely call on Him.”
Psalm 145:18 CJB

Today, don’t think you have to convince or bribe Yeshua into forgiveness! Why? Because He is always willing and able to hear us when we call! Just don’t be halfhearted when you call on Him!
Have a blessed day!

God is near

“For your Husband is your Maker, Adonai-Tzva`ot is His name. The Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer. He will be called the God of all the earth.”
Isaiah 54:5 CJB

Question: have you felt separated from God? The good news is no matter where you are at, God is always right there with you! All we have to do is seek Him. He really never leaves our side!

“For Adonai has called you back like a wife abandoned and grief-stricken; A wife married in her youth cannot be rejected, says your God.”
Isaiah 54:6 CJB

So the reality is if you feel separated from God, understand it may be you who has walked away! So today all you have to do is reach out to Adonai and He will be right there beside you!

“With my voice I call out to Adonai, and He answers me from His holy hill.”
Psalm 3:4 CJB

Today, know when you step out into the world you are not alone! Adonai is right there beside you!
Have a blessed day in Adonai!
Shabbat Shalom!

Fix your eyes on Adonai

“So my lord the king shouldn’t take it as seriously as if all the king’s sons are dead; only Amnon is dead.”
2 Samuel 13:33 CJB

As we saw before, David gets angry when Tamar was raped, but does nothing, and here, after Amnon is killed, he still does nothing! Sin needs to be dealt with and taken seriously or it grows!

“For what one earns from sin is death; but eternal life is what one receives as a free gift from God, in union with Messiah Yeshua, our LORD.”
Romans 6:23 CJB

When we continue not dealing with sin it will just continue to grow and affect others!

“My eyes are always directed toward Adonai, for He will free my feet from the net.”
Psalm 25:15 CJB

Today, realize we need to deal with sin before it grows and give it to Adonai, who frees us from the snares of death! What we need to be doing is keep our eyes fixed on Yeshua!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!

Look to God

“Davis said to Natan, I have sinned against Adonai. Natan said to David, Adonai also has taken away your sin. You will not die.”
2 Samuel 12:13 CJB

Here we see David confess and repent! He didn’t try to justify or rationalize his sin he just confessed and repented! In turn God shows His ultimate graciousness and doesn’t kill him as He should, but instead forgives him! With that said David isn’t getting away with anything he still loses his son! Why? Because sin has consequences!

“He declares before everyone, I sinned; I perverted what was right, and it gained me nothing.”
Job 33:27 CJB

While we are sinning we need to understand we can’t get away with it and in the long run it gains us nothing!

“For what one earns from sin is death; but eternal life is what one receives as a free gift from God, in union with the Messiah Yeshua, our LORD.”
Romans 6:23 CJB

When we continue in sin we are doomed! But when we are living for Yeshua we live in peace!
Today, let’s put our lives in the gracious hands of Yeshua!
Have a blessed day living in His peace!

Repent

“When the mourning was over, David sent and took her home to his palace, and she became his wife and bore him a son. But Adonai saw what David had done as evil.”
2 Samuel 11:27 CJB

Here we see David commit adultery and murder just to get what his flesh desired! God is never pleased with sin and it does displease Him!

“But if you will not do this, then you have sinned against Adonai, and you must understand that your sin will find you out.”
Numbers 32:23 CJB

Even though we blow it and sometimes we even premeditate sin, then try and hide it, we should never forget is God will forgive when we repent! Repentance is the way to forgiveness!

“Don’t delude yourselves: no one makes a fool of God! A person reaps what he sows.”
Galatians 6:7 CJB

We need to realize we can’t get away with anything, so we shouldn’t even try!

“Therefore, repent and turn to God, so that your sins may be erased.”
Acts 3:19 CJB

Today, take a good look at yourself and see if there is something you may be holding onto! Repent, let it go and watch Adonai forgive and forget!
Have a blessed day in Him!
