What God is saying is: no matter where you are, as long as you are seeking Me (God) and walking with Me, you will be safe! We can be in a prison, poverty or any other calamity, if we are seeking God, not our own greatness, we will be safe! The question is: are you seeking your own glory or His Glory?

“Seek Adonai and His strength; always seek His presence.”
1 Chronicles 16:11 CJB

We all need to be careful of seeking our own greatness, trying to be #1! We need to be seeking God in all things and glorifying Him in everything!

“Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples!”
1 Chronicles 16:24 CJB

Today, what we all need to be doing is declaring the greatness and glory of God! Don’t get caught up in self, realize God has it all covered!

We see Jeremiah telling the people that their idols aren’t the source of their prosperity, but instead they are the source of their destruction!

“Salvation is far away from the wicked, because they don’t seek Your laws.”
Psalm 119:155 CJB

If we are truly saved, we will rely upon the Word of God and His precepts for how we are to walk through life!

“I take joy in Your promises, like someone who finds much booty.”
Psalm 119:162 CJB

Today let’s look at God’s promises of Salvation as priceless booty! Yeshua (Jesus), who laid down His life so we can be saved, is as priceless as it comes, which makes His Salvation priceless and perfect!

God is going to destroy all pagan places of worship and their idols! We need to realize false gods will never save us, they will only destroy us!

“Around noon Eliyahu began ridiculing them: Shout louder! After all, he’s a god, isn’t he? Maybe he’s daydreaming, or he’s on the potty, or he’s away on a trip. Maybe he’s asleep, and you have to wake him.”
1 Kings 18:27 CJB

This is always the deal with false gods they are made by human hands out of God–made materials and they will never answer you! Why? Because they are not real! But God, on the other, hand is living, breathing and in full control! We have nothing to be afraid of when we are looking to Him for all our needs!

“My help comes from Adonai, the maker of Heaven and Earth. He will not let your foot slip-your guardian is not asleep. No, the Guardian of Israel never slumbers or sleeps.”
Psalm 121:2-4 CJB

Realize, God never sleeps, but on the other hand, we are the ones slumbering and sleeping! So don’t look to false idols, but look to Adonai, who is in control of all things!

In other words, don’t be afraid of the government. Especially in this day when we worry about taxes and government control! Instead trust in Adonai!

“Trust in Adonai with all your heart; do not rely on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him; then He will level your paths.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 CJB

We put our trust in so many things that, in the end, really can’t help us! But when we trust and acknowledge God, all things really do seem to work out!

“If I raise my eyes to the hills, from where will my help come? My help comes from Adonai, the maker of Heaven and Earth.”
Psalm 121:1-2 CJB

Yes, all our help comes from Adonai. Anything that is good comes from Him! So let’s trust God and look to Him for all our needs!

We all need to be careful when things get tough, not to run to the world! This is what these guys are doing. Things got sticky and they are off to Egypt! We need to run to Adonai at the first sign of trouble!

“I call on Adonai, who is worthy of praise; and I am saved from my enemies.”
2 Samuel 22:4 CJB

Just like David, who knew a thing or two about trials and the world falling apart around him! He knew whom He could call on and go to to save Him!

“But I will call on God, and Adonai will save me.”
Psalm 55:9 CJB

Life can be hard and full of trials. The best place we can go for help is to Adonai. It’s actually the only place!
