Obey God

“The commander of the guard took Yirmeyahu and said to him, Adonai your God decreed this disaster for this place, and Adonai has brought it about; He has done what He said He would do, because you people sinned against Adonai and did not listen to what He said; that is why this has come upon you.”
Jeremiah 40:2-3 CJB

Even the pagan captain here understands that God said what He would do to Judah, because of their disobedience! Understand, God means what He says and says what He means! If you love God, then just obey what He says!

“If you love Me, you will keep My commands.”
John 14:15 CJB

When we love someone, we will listen to them and try to make them happy by doing what they say. So if we love Adonai, we really should be striving to do what He says!

“For loving God means obeying His commands. Moreover, His commands are not burdensome.”
1 John 5:3 CJB

The commands of Adonai are not a burden, but to help us walk on His right path and to do things His way, not ours! Remember, His ways keep us out of messes, our ways get us into messes!
Have a blessed day following Him!

Trust

“Yes, I will keep you safe; you will not fall by the sword, but you will escape with your life, because you have put trust in Me, says Adonai.”
Jeremiah 39:18 CJB

God will always get us through! All we need to do is trust!

“For we live by trust, not what we see.”
2 Corinthians 5:7 CJB

Unfortunately we get so caught up in what we can see first, then to just simply trust and believe! Not a lot of faith in seeing first! Let’s just trust without seeing. That is what Father Abraham did when God called him to go to a place I will show you!

“Now Adonai said Avram, get yourself out of your country, away from your kinsmen and away from your father’s house, and go to the land that I will show you.”
Genesis 12:1 CJB

Like Abraham, we need to step out in faith! Even when it doesn’t make sense, we just need to trust Adonai will get us through!
Have a blessed day in Him!

Walk with God

“”Yirmeyahu answered, They won’t hand you over. I beg you, listen to the voice of Adonai concerning what I’m telling you about; then it will go well with you, and you will live.”
Jeremiah 38:20 CJB

Here is a big truth: if we will simply listen to Adonai and do things His way, we will have a joyful life! That is a joy–filled life with Him! There are far too many people out there trying to slam a square peg in a round hole, instead of just simply following Adonai!

“I have said these things to you so that, united with Me, you may have shalom (peace). In the world, you have tsuris (tribulation). But be brave! I have conquered the world.”
John 16:33 CJB

We will never find peace when we are walking outside of the will of God! We need to stop trying to do things in our own way!

“Desist, and learn that I am God, supreme over the nations, supreme over the earth.”
Psalm 46:10 CJB

So stop hanging onto the world and its troubles, but instead desist, drop it and just let it go! Today, allow Adonai to take full control of your life!
Have a blessed day in Him!

Pay attention to God

“But neither he, his servants nor the people of the land paid attention to the words of Adonai, which he spoke through the prophet Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah).”
Jeremiah 37:2 CJB

We all need to heed this warning! We need to pay attention to the Word of God and actually do what it says! Don’t pick what you like and disregard what you don’t!

“If a person will not listen to Torah (instruction), even his prayer is an abomination.”
Proverbs 28:9 CJB

If we are ignoring or denying parts of scripture, then wonder why our prayers aren’t answered or we are stuck in a rut, understand God didn’t give us His Word so we can pick and choose! Instead we need to read and pray, then DO!

“Your Word is a lamp for my foot and a light on my path.”
Psalm 119:105 CJB

We need to be in the Word of God on a consistent basis. If we read scripture and are all over the place in our reading, that’s how our walks with Adonai will be, all over the place!

Today, let’s pay attention to what God says!
Have a blessed day following Adonai!
