This is Bildad speaking, who doesn’t really know Job! But even more so doesn’t know Adonai, speaking words as if He is godly, just like godless people today! We hear celebrities, news pundits and politicians trying to quote scripture, but absolutely know nothing of God!
“They claim to know God, but with their actions they deny Him. They are detestable and disobedient; they have proved themselves unfit to do anything good.”

We see this happening all around us: politicians, entertainers and sadly Bible teachers acting and saying godly things, but their actions don’t back up what they claim!
“Sh’muel said, Does Adonai take as much pleasure in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying what Adonai says? Surely obeying is better than sacrifice, and heeding orders than the fat of rams.”

God, really wants us to hear and do what His Word says, but He also wants us to know His word so we can clearly recognize hypocrites who falsely quote His Word!
