Don’t focus on the temporary!

“For a mere moment I have forsaken you, But with great mercies I will gather you.”

Isaiah 54:7

Our daily problems and issues can seem like an eternity as we are going through them. But in God’s economy they are nothing but a mere moment, a drop in the bucket of time.

“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

2 Corinthians 4:17-18

We all have daily struggles, life’s ups and downs. They will all fade away eventually but the LORD will remain.

“For the mountains shall depart And the hills be removed, But My kindness shall not depart from you, Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed, Says the LORD who has mercy on you.”

Isaiah 54:10

Today let us look to the eternal things of the LORD not the temporal things of the world. Have a blessed day looking to the LORD. Shabbat Shalom

The LORD is just!

“You shall not have in your house differing measures, a large and a small.”

Deuteronomy 25:14

The LORD desires us to be upright and just not unbalanced and bias!

“For all who do such things, all who behave unrighteously, are an abomination to the LORD your God.”

Deuteronomy 25:16

When we are unbalanced, one sided and self centered we become prideful and judgmental! Basically full of ourselves!

“Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.”

Proverbs 16:18

The only way to avoid this is by being focused on the LORD, sharing His goodness and His amazing love!

“Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.”

Habakkuk 3:18

Today be balanced in the LORD, allow Him to be your weight and measure. Let’s share His love and salvation and know His judgements a perfectly weighed and measured! Have a blessed day in Him!

Focus on the LORD

“Fathers shall not be put to death for there children, nor shall children be put to death for their fathers; a person shall be put to death for his own sin.”

Deuteronomy 24:16

We are really responsible for our own actions, we need to be careful of blaming others! Even if things are not our fault how we react to the situation is on us! We need to look for the LORD in every situation!

“And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”

Jeremiah 29:13

When we are seeking the LORD in every situation, looking for Him not focusing on our situations or problems, we are less likely to die in our sins!

“With my whole heart I have sought You; Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments!”

Psalm 119:10

Today let ‘s focus on the LORD not our failures, problems or what those around us are doing; But let us be looking for the LORD in everything! Have a blessed day in Him.

Assess what’s in your heart!

“When the army goes out against your enemies, then keep yourself from every wicked thing.”

Deuteronomy 23:9

Everyday we go out we are in a battle, and have enemies all around us! This is a good reminder to be on guard throughout our day!

“I will set nothing wicked before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; It shall not cling to me.”

Psalm 101:3

We need to keep sin and sinful things away from us, unfortunately we make all kinds of excuses to allow it into our lives! Everyday is a good day to assess the things that we have around us! What does the LORD say about it!

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.”

Psalm 139:23-24

Everyday we step out into battle so to speak! And we do need to be on guard to keep ourselves from wicked desires, thoughts and places. Remove the things we know are evil, and ask the LORD to reveal the things we missed! Have a blessed day spending time with the LORD, searching your heart!

Don’t be unequally yoked!

“You shall not sow your vineyard with different kinds of seed, lest the yield of the seed which you have sown and the fruit of your vineyard be defiled.”

Deuteronomy 22:9

The LORD shares this instruction throughout the word, DON”T BE UNEQUALLY YOKED! We have to walk in the world, but we don’t have to be like it! Not every person we work with, go to school with or live next to believes and follows the LORD! What we need to do is be an example, be set apart, be holy and be special not ordinary! Don’t fall into the trap everyone else is doing it!

“You shall not plow with an ox and a donkey together.”

Deuteronomy 22:10

Plowing with a donkey and a ox may get the job done, but with how much difficulty? The fact is it would be a very difficult, it would be more work to get them to work together than accomplishing the actual job at hand! The same goes for us when we try to be unequally yoked or sow different seeds!

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”

1 Peter 2:9

One of the best ways to not fall into darkness is to NOT go there in the first place don’t be unequally yoked! But when we do stumble and fall know we can call on the LORD and He’ll pull us out.

“As for me, I will call upon God, And the LORD shall save me.”

Psalm 55:16

Today let us pray and stay away from questionable places, so many problems can be avoided when we stay out of darkness and being unequally yoked! Life will always be better when we do things the LORDS way not ours! Have a blessed day in HIM!
