Glorify the LORD

“They went and served other gods, prostrating themselves before them, gods they had not known and which he had not assigned them.”

Deuteronomy 29:25 CJB

We, too, need to be careful about getting tangled up with the gods of this world! We need to watch out, because the gods of this world are all around us and following them will lead us to nothing good.

“Eliyahu stepped forward before all the people and said, How long are you going between two positions? If Adonai is God, follow Him; but if Ba’al, follow him! The people answered him not a word.”

1 Kings 18:21 CJB

We do need to make a choice follow the foolish gods of the world or follow the LORD!

“No one can be slave to two masters; for he will either hate the first and love the second, or scorn the second and be loyal to the first. You can’t be slave to both God and money.”

Matthew 6:24 CJB

Today, let us choose following the LORD, not the gods of this world, boldly sharing His glory! Let’s store up riches in heaven, not on earth!

“Whoever acknowledges me in the presence of others I will also acknowledge in the presence of My Father in heaven.”

Matthew 10:32 CJB

Today, let’s look for opportunities to share the LORD! May the LORD richly bless your day!

Abide in the LORD

“Stay united with Me, as I will with you-for just as the branch can’t put forth fruit by itself apart from the vine, so you can’t bear fruit apart from Me.”

John 15:4 CJB

Life is hard and has many ups and downs. What we need to know is we can’t do it without the LORD! So abide in Him, cling to Him, knowing He has got you!

“You are to follow Adonai your God, fear Him, obey His mitzvot(commands), listen to what He says, serve Him and cling to Him.”

Deuteronomy 13:5 CJB

While we cling to the LORD and serve Him, we will always see His fruit in our lives!

“If the world hates you, understand that it hated Me first.”

John 15:18 CJB

If you feel uncomfortable in the world, good! We need to be united with the LORD, abiding in His vine and clinging to His ways! Today, have a blessed day clinging to the LORD!

Just love the LORD

“If you love me, you will keep my commands.”

John 14:15 CJB

When we love someone, we will listen to them and try to make them happy by doing what they say. So if we love the LORD, we really should be striving to do what He says!

“For loving God means obeying His commands. Moreover, His commands are not burdensome.”

1 John 5:3 CJB

The LORD gives us commands not to be a burden, but to help us walk on His right path and to do things His way, not ours! His ways keep us from messes, our ways get us into a mess!

“Whoever has My commands and keeps them is the one who loves Me, and the one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him.”

John 14:21 CJB

Today, don’t look at the world and its disfunction, but instead just look to the LORD and His love! If you feel overwhelmed or confused about His commands! don’t. Just keep the first one: “Love the LORD your God with all your soul” and watch everything else work out!

Have a blessed day loving the LORD!

Shabbat Shalom.

Don’t judge, just love

“I am giving you a new command: that you keep on loving each other. In the same way that I have loved you, you are also to keep on loving each other. Everyone will know that you are my talmidim(disciples) by the fact that you have love for each other.”

John 13:34-35 CJB

Loving the LORD isn’t hard, loving each other tends to be more difficult! Instead of loving, we start judging and making questionable opinions about people!

“This is my command: that you keep on loving each other just as I have loved you.”

John 15:12 CJB

Life is always going to be better when we love and reflect the LORD in the dark world around us.

“Don’t owe anyone anything-except to love one another; for whoever loves his fellow human being has fulfilled Torah(the way you should go).”

Romans 13:8 CJB

Today, let’s not get all worked up about things or judging people, but instead let’s just love people, knowing God has it all worked out! Have a blessed day reflecting the love of the LORD!

Shine

“For although darkness covers the earth thick darkness the peoples; on you Adonai will rise; over you will be seen His glory.”

Isaiah 60:2 CJB

Even though the world around is dark and getting darker remember the LORD always shines brighter!

“In the same way, let your light shine before people, so that they may see the good things you do and praise your Father in heaven.”

Matthew 5:16 CJB

Realize, as dark and crazy as the world around us is the only light people may see is us reflecting the LORD! So let’s do good things, step out and be kind today!

“But if we are walking in the light, as He is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of His Son Yeshua purifies us from all sin.”

1 John 1:7 CJB

Today, let’s be a reflection of the LORD not a reflection of the world! Have a blessed day reflecting His glorious light!
