Seek the LORD first

“The sword will fall on his cities, destroying the bars of his gates, because they follow their own advice.”

Hosea 11:6 CJB

This is the same problem we have from time to time; we follow our own advice! We start to believe we know better and don’t seek the LORD first!

“Be sensitive to each other’s needs-don’t think yourselves better than others, but make humble people your friends. Don’t be conceited.”

Romans 12:16 CJB

Don’t fall into the trap of thinking we know more or are better than anyone else! Simply fall into the arms of the LORD and let Him guide and direct you, His ways are always better.

“Those who love your Torah(instruction) have great peace; nothing makeS them stumble.”

Psalm 119:165 CJB

Today, just simply get into the word of the LORD listen and do what He instructs us to do! We will spend less time stumbling and more time praising! Have a blessed day in the LORD!

Invest in the LORD

“If you sow righteousness for yourselves, you will reap according to grace. Break up unused ground for yourselves, because it is time to seek Adonai, till He comes and rains down righteousness upon you.”

Hosea 10:12 CJB

This is a theme that runs through scripture, If we sow in righteousness, we get mercy in return!

“Don’t delude yourselves: no one makes a fool of God! A person reaps what he sows.”

Galatians 6:7 CJB

When we put our time and effort into worldly stuff, we can’t expect to receive blessings in return! We need to invest our time in the LORD to receive His blessings!

“Those who keep sowing in the field of their old nature, in order to meet its demands, will eventually reap ruin; but those who keep sowing in the field of the Spirit will reap from the Spirit everlasting life.”

Galatians 6:7 CJB

We need to be putting more effort in the LORD and less effort in the world! Spending time with the LORD and His word is always going to be better for us! Have blessed day with the LORD!

The LORD restores

“My God will cast them aside, because they wouldn’t listen to Him, and they will become wanderers among the Goyim(nations).”

Hosea 9:17 CJB

God promises that He will disperse the Israelites for their disobedience toward Him. If we think that our disobedience will be ignored, we need to be careful. The LORD is gracious, but sin has consequences!

“I treasure Your word in my heart, so that I won’t sin against You.”

Psalm 119:11 CJB

The good news is even when we blow it, the LORD will restore us. All we have to do is call out to Him and repent!

“Restore my joy in Your salvation, and let a willing spirit uphold me.”

Psalm 51:14 CJB

Realize, it’s our sins and disobedience that scatters us, but when we repent, the LORD restores! Have a blessed day knowing when we call on the LORD, He saves and restores!

Follow the LORD

” Will they cry to Me, We are Israel, God, we know You!”

Hosea 8:2 CJB

Unfortunately, there are many people out there who claim to be believers, but live a very worldly lifestyle! We are not to judge them, but instead we are to live wholeheartedly for Jesus and let them see the way that they should go and be careful of doing the same thing!

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘LORD,LORD!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, only those who do what my Father in heaven wants.”

Matthew 7:21 CJB

We need to be careful of saying things that just sound good, we actually need to do good! We need to be mindful about worldly traps!

“Don’t deceive yourselves by only hearing what the Word says, but do it!”

James 1:22 CJB

Today, let’s really get out there and represent the LORD! Telling people about Jesus and doing things to glorify Him! Have a blessed day in Him!

The LORD is our strength

“Foreigners have eaten up his strength, but he doesn’t know it; yes, gray hairs appear on him here and there, but he doesn’t know it.”

Hosea 7:9 CJB

This can and does happen to us, life has a tendency to suck all the strength out of us! The enemy likes to keep us distracted and busy with our daily routine!

“Adonai is my strength and shield; in Him my heart trusted, and I have been helped. Therefore my heart is filled with joy, and I will sing praises to Him.”

Psalm 28:7 CJB

Even though the world can drain us of strength and wear us out, remember, the LORD is our strength and He is always there for us!

“For you have been a refuge for me, a tower of strength in the face of the foe.”

Psalm 61:3 CJB

Today, even though the world may be eating us up and draining all our strength, remember, the LORD is our strength and He is our shield, we have nothing to fear! So have a blessed day being refreshed by the LORD!
