Just love

“May Adonai judge between you and me, and may Adonai avenge me on you! But I will not lay a hand on you-as the old saying has it, Out of the wicked comes wickedness, but I will not lay a hand on you.”

1 Samuel 24:13-14 CJB

In other words, the LORD is the judge of all things and it isn’t our responsibility!

“Say among the nations, Adonai is king! The world is firmly established, immovable. He will judge the peoples fairly.”

Psalm 96:10 CJB

Life is always easier when we just love people and not judge them! The LORD really has this area covered, so we don’t have to!

“Don’t owe anyone anything-except to love one another; for whoever loves his fellow human being has fulfilled Torah.”

Romans 13:8 CJB

Today, let’s not judge, but instead just love!

Have a blessed day walking in the love of the LORD!

Do what the LORD says

” David consulted Adonai again; and Adonai answered him, Set out, and go down to Ke’ilah, because I will hand the P’lishtim (Philistine) over to you.”

1 Samual 23:4 CJB

This is the second time David inquires of the LORD about going to Ke’ilah and the LORD says go. Do we ask the samething of the LORD after He already answered us?

“I am Adonai your God; live by my laws, observe my rulings, and obey them.”

Ezekiel 20:19 CJB

When we call on the LORD and inquire His direction, we need to do what He says. He will never mislead us!

“Guide me in Your truth, and teach me; for you are the God who saves me, my hope is in You all day long.”

Psalm 25:5 CJB

Today, seek the LORD and do as He says, don’t fall into the trap of questioning His direction or instructions for us! Just simply do as He says!

Have a blessed day!

The LORD knows

“Then all the people in distress, in debt or embittered began gathering around him, and he became their leader; there were about four hundred with him.”

1 Samuel 22:2 CJB

We may feel like the world is pushing in around us, making us feel out of place, which can be a good thing as we congregate around like-mined people, people who love the LORD!

“She gave birth to a son, and he named him Gershom [foreigner there], for he said, I have been a foreigner in a foreign land.”

Exodus 2:22 CJB

We should feel like strangers in this world and the more we look around the more we see how strange it is!

Remember, God has a plan and we are in it!

“For I know what plans I have in mind for you, says Adonai, plans for well-being, not for bad things; so that you can have hope and a future.”

Jeremiah 29:11 CJB

So today, don’t be stressed, depressed or in distress! Remember, the LORD is our leader so let’s gather around Him knowing He has a perfect plan for us!

Have a blessed day!

The LORD has you

“Adonai went ahead of them in a column of cloud during the daytime to lead them on their way, and at night in a column of fire to give them light; thus they could travel both by day and night.”

Exodus 13:21 CJB

This should be comforting for us that as we walk through our day the LORD covers and shades us!

“How precious, God, is Your grace! People take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.”

Psalm 36:7 CJB

He also guides us by lighting our paths and keeps our hearts warmed by His word!

“Adonai is my light and salvation; whom do I fear? Adonai is the stronghold of my life; of whom should I be afraid?”

Psalm 27:1 CJB

Today, know that life can be rough, but the LORD shades, protects and lights our paths so rest in Him!

Have a blessed day!

Shabbat Shalom!

Don’t run

“The same day, David took flight from Sha’ul and went to Akhish king of Gat.”

1 Samuel 21:11 CJB

We all need to be careful of running from our problems instead of dealing with them! Here we see David running from his problems and then pretending to be crazy, so he goes from one thing to another!

“With You I can run through a whole troop of men, with my God I can leap a wall.”

Psalm 18:30 CJB

We need to remember the LORD has us in every situation, even if it doesn’t seem like it at the time!

“As for God, His way is perfect, the word of Adonai has been tested by fire; He shields all who take refuge in Him.”

Psalm 18:31 CJB

Today, be careful of running and hiding, instead seek the LORD and His will for you!

Have a blessed day.

Shabbat Shalom.
