Time is short

“The time came for Adonai to take Eliyahu up into heaven in a whirlwind. Eliyahu and Elisha were on their way to Gilgal.”
2 Kings 2:1 CJB

Our time to be taken up to be with the LORD will happen soon enough! So we need to make our time here count for the LORD!

“Sing to Adonai, all the earth! Proclaim His victory day after day!”
1 Chronicles 16:23 CJB

As the day fast approaches for the LORD to call us home, we need to make every moment count for Him!

“May the glory of Adonai last forever! May Adonai rejoice in His works!”
Psalm 104:31 CJB

Today, realize, time is really short and we need to use it wisely to glorify the LORD!
Have a blessed day glorifying Him!

Seek the LORD

“But an angel of Adonai said to Eliyahu from Tishbe, Get up. and intercept the messengers of the king of Shomron, and ask them, Is it because there’s no God in Israel that you’re on your way to consult Ba’al-Z’vuv the god of Ekron?”
2 Kings 1:3 CJB

Don’t seek the advice of the world before you seek the advice of the LORD! Always seek the LORD first!

“Seek Adonai and His strength; always seek His presence.”
Psalm 105:4 CJB

We will always be better off when we seek the LORD first in any situation! Get into a habit of talking to the LORD about everything!

“Pray regularly.”
1 Thessalonians 5:17 CJB

We need to make prayer and seeking the LORD a regular habit!

“Seek Adonai while He is available, call on Him while He is nearby.”
Isaiah 55:6 CJB

Don’t wait to call on the LORD, don’t look to worldly advice, but always call on the LORD first and wait for an answer!
Have a blessed day seeking the LORD, knowing He is always nearby!

Share the Good News

“After Shabbat, as the next day was dawning, Miryam of Magdala and the other Miryam went to see the grave.”
Matthew 28:1 CJB

After we rest, we need to step out and the earlier the better, to share the Good News of Salvation. In other words, don’t wait! As much as we come and see, we should also go and tell!

“Sing to Adonai a new song! Sing to Adonai, all the earth! Sing to Adonai, bless His name! Proclaim His victory day after day!”
Psalm 96:1-2 CJB

Yes, we need to hear and take in the Good News of the LORD, but we need to also share and live it!

“Don’t deceive yourselves by only hearing what the Word says, but do it!”
James 1:22 CJB

Today, after we rest and hear, let’s go out and do and share! Be careful of just telling people about the LORD, but let’s also be doers in the LORD!
Have a blessed day hearing, sharing and doing!

Give it a rest!

“Then they went back home to prepare spices and ointments. On Shabbat the women rested, in obedience to the commandments.”
Luke 23:56 CJB

Even though there may have been much to do, these woman decided to keep the commandments and rest! We should also spend more time resting in the LORD and less time wrestling in the world!

“On the seventh day you are to have a holy convocation; do not do any kind of ordinary work.”
Numbers 28:25 CJB

The LORD really wants us to take a break, not being busy wrestling with things that distract us! The things we think need to be done can really wait a day! It really is more important to take a day and rest in the LORD, seeking His peace!

“My safety and honor rest on God. My strong rock and refuge are in God.”
Psalm 62:7 CJB

Today, let’s not be busy bodies, being anxious about the things going on around us, but instead let’s just rest in the LORD!
May your day be richly blessed resting in the LORD!
Shabbat Shalom!

The LORD guides

“Adonai went ahead of them in a column of cloud during the daytime to lead them on their way, and at night in a column of fire to give them light; thus they could travel both by day and by night.”
Exodus 13:21 CJB

Just like Moses, who led the children of Israel through a great and terrible wilderness using the column of smoke by day and the column of fire by night God covers us in the same way!

“Guide me in Your truth, and teach me; for You are the God who saves me, my hope is in You all day long.”
Psalm 25:5 CJB

We are living in troubled times. There are all kinds of disasters going on around us and we desperately need the LORD to guide us!

“Guide my footsteps by Your word; don’t let any kind of sin rule me.”
Psalm 119:133 CJB

Understand, the LORD has given us His word to cover us and guide us each and every day! So we don’t need to worry about the troubling times we are living in. We have the LORD!
Have a blessed day.
Shabbat Shalom!
