Bow to the LORD

“Haman was furious when he saw that Mordekhai was not kneeling and bowing down to him.”
Esther 3:5 CJB

Again we see similar things in scripture that we can relate to today! How? The world wants us to bow down or take a knee to things that are not of the LORD. We should only be bowing down to the LORD!

“Still, I will spare seven thousand in Israel, every knee that hasn’t bent down before Ba’al and every mouth that has not kissed him.”
1 Kings 19:18 CJB

How amazing to know when we don’t bow down to the world, that the LORD will not only spare us, but will give us life everlasting!

“Look to Me, and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God; there is no other. In the name of Myself I have sworn, from My mouth has rightly gone out, a word that will not return-that to Me every knee will bow and every tongue will swear.”
Isaiah 45:22-23 CJB also: Romans 14:11 and Philippians 2:10-11

Today, like Mordekhai we need to take a stand for Jesus and not take a knee to anything else, no matter how much pressure the world puts on us! We all need to stand up for the LORD, knowing everyone everywhere will eventually bow to Him!
May our day be blessed to take a stand for Him!

Share the peace of the LORD

“He (Mordecai) had been exiled from Yerushaiayim with the captives exiled with Y’khanyah (Jeconiah) king of Y’hudah (Judah), whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had carried off.”
Esther 2:6 CJB

As we see the world around us, we, too, can feel like we are exiled captives, especially as we see the crazy things happening in the world around us!

“Don’t let yourselves be disturbed. Trust in God and trust in Me. In My Father’s house are many places to live. If there weren’t, I would have told you; because I am going there to prepare a place for you. Since I am going and preparing a place for you, I will return to take you with Me; so that where I am, you may be also.”
John 14:1-3 CJB

Like the Jewish people being in Babylon for 70 years, we, too, can feel like we are in captivity! What we need to do is not get all tangled up in the world’s mess, but instead get caught up in the LORD!

“What I am leaving with you is shalom-I am giving you My shalom. I don’t give the way the world gives. Don’t let yourselves be upset or frightened.”
John 14:27 CJB

Today, remember, our time on earth is relatively short, as far as time goes, but we will be with the LORD for all eternity! So, let’s share the peace of the LORD with those who don’t know Him!
May your day be filled with opportunities to share God’s peace!

Seek the LORD

“As was the king’s custom, he consulted sages well-versed in matters of law and justice.”
Esther 1:13 CJB

We need to be careful of consulting men and worldly institutions, but we do need to spend more time consulting the LORD and His word!

“Seek Adonai and His strength; always seek His presence.”
1 Chronicles 16:11 CJB

Everything we need can be found in the LORD and His word!

“Your word is a lamp for my foot and a light to my path.”
Psalm 119:105 CJB

Today, let’s consult and seek the LORD for everything and anything!
Have a blessed day seeking Him!

Shine

“Are we to give in to you and let you continue in this great evil, breaking faith with our God by marrying foreign women?”
Nehemiah 13:27 CJB

Here we see Nehemiah getting tough with the people on their compromising with the world, really calling out those who are mingling with worldliness! Is he trying to be a killjoy? No! He really is hearing from the LORD and telling the folks that compromising with the world is not acceptable!

“Eliyahu stepped forward before all the people and said, How long are you going to jump back and forth between two positions? If Adonai is God, follow Him; but if it’s Ba’al, follow him! These people answered him not a word.”
1 Kings 18:21 CJB

The same goes for us today! We all need to be careful of compromise, we need to step up for the LORD. Looking at the world around us, we can see all kinds of things that can and do distract us from the LORD! Our duty is to walk uprightly and lead people to a saving knowledge of Jesus and the salvation He gives us!

“In the same way, let your light shine before people, so that they may see the good things you do and praise your Father in heaven.”
Matthew 5:16 CJB

Today, realize, we need to reflect the light of the LORD and salt the world with His word, being careful of not watering it down or dimming His light!
Have a blessed day being salt and light for JESUS!

Rejoice in the LORD

“With joy they offered great sacrifices that day, for God had made them celebrate with great joy. The women and children too rejoiced, so that the celebrating in Yerushalayim could be heard far off.”
Nehemiah 12:43 CJB

Does our day revolve around the LORD or does it revolve around us? Do we make sacrifices for the LORD or do we make sacrifices for ourselves? The answer to both questions is our lives need to revolve around the LORD and we need to be a living sacrifices for Him, often times we fail at both.

“I Exhort you, therefore, brothers, in view of God’s mercies, to offer yourselves as a sacrifice, living and set apart for God. This will please Him; it is logical “Temple worship” for you.”
Romans 12:1 CJB

Realize “Temple worship” means the same way you act at church is the same way you need to act in public! Our lives really need to revolve around the LORD not ourselves!

“Give thanks to Adonai! Call on His name! Make His deeds known among the peoples.”
1 Chronicles 16:8 CJB

Today, let’s offer ourselves, our praise and all that we have to the LORD, it’s what the world around us really needs, not our views or our posts, but the LORD!
Have a blessed day worshipping Him!
