Chosen

“But you are a chosen people, the King’s cohanim (priests), a holy nation, a people for God to possess! Why? In order for you to declare the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.”
1 Peter 2:9 CJB

We always need to be reminded of this: God has chosen us out of the world to be His representatives to the world!

“Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; before, you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.”
1 Peter 2:10 CJB

We all were once lost in the world, doing ungodly things. Now we are the people of God, His chosen ambassadors sharing His grace and mercy!

“Dear friends, I urge you as aliens and temporary residents not to give in to the desires of your old nature, which keep warring against you; but to live such good lives among the pegans that even though they now speak against you as evil-doers, they will, as a result of seeing your good actions, give glory to God on the day of His coming.”
1 Peter 2:11-12 CJB

Today, two things: don’t get caught up in the world, but instead be caught up in the LORD and share His glorious Good News. That’s what we get to do!
Have a blessed day in Him!

Everything fades

“For all humanity is like grass, all its glory is like a wildfire-the grass withers, and the flower falls off; but the Word of Adonai lasts forever. Moreover, this Word is the Good News which has been proclaimed to you.”
1 Peter 1:24-25 CJB

Everything we see here on earth will fade away and come to an end! Accept the LORD and His Word will last forever!

“The grass dries up, the flower fades; but the word of our God will stand forever.”
Isaiah 40:8 CJB

No matter what we see happening in the world today, we must always remember that the LORD is in control and He will last forever and the only way we last is in Him! All our projects, business building and our buildings will disapear!

“Adonai will reign forever and ever.”
Exodus 15:18 CJB

Today, let’s not get caught up in all the sillines of the world, but let’s instead get caught up in the awesomeness of the LORD!
Have a blessed day in Him!

Confess

“Therefore, openly acknowledge your sins to one another, and pray for each other, so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”
James 5:16 CJB

One of the best ways to keep the enemy from messing with us is to be open and honest! Just tell the truth!

“When I acknowledge my sin to you, when I stopped concealing my guilt, and said, I will confess my offenses to Adonai; then You, You forgave the guilt of my sin.”
Psalm 32:5 CJB

The biggest problem in the world, and also in believers, is hiding and covering of our sins instead of just being open and honest! When we are truthful, there is nothing for the enemy to use as a weapon to cause doubt!

“So Yeshua said to the Judeans who trusted Him, If you obey what I say, then you are really My talmidim (disciples), you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
John 8:31-32 CJB

Today, let’s be open and honest, confessing and praying about our sins, giving nothing for the enemy to hold onto! Be careful of covering and hiding. That’s always when problems start!
Have a blessed day in the LORD!

Trust the LORD

“Rather, I am making it both with him who is standing here with us today before Adonai our God and also with him who is here with us today.”
Deuteronomy 29:14 CJB

Good question for us today: Who are we standing with? These words aren’t only for the people of ancient days, but they are for us today also! Realize, there is so much misinformation and misleading stuff out there. The only thing that we can truly trust is the LORD!

“Make me hear of Your love in the morning, because I rely on You. Make me know the way I should walk because I entrust myself to You.”
Psalm 143:8 CJB

As we can see how unreliable the world is and unfortunately even so- called preachers and teachers of the LORD are untrustworthy! We really need God’s word to guide us!

“For I, Adonai, your God, say to you, as I hold your right hand, Have no fear; I will help you.”
Isaiah 41:13 CJB

Today, we really need to be relying on the LORD, knowing we can always stand strong in Him!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!

Do what’s right

“So then, anyone who knows the right thing to do and fails to do it is committing a sin.”
James 4:17 CJB

In other words, we know when we are saying and doing things wrong, sinning!

“Don’t deceive yourselves by only hearing what the Word says, but do it.”
James 1:22 CJB

The LORD has given us greatguide lines in His word to do what is right and walk in His ways!

“Your word is a lamp for my foot and a light on my path.”
Psalm 119:105 CJB

Today, let’s use the greatest tool we have to navigate life, the Word of God!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!
