Be in fellowship

“So Yitz’chak (Isaac) called Ya`akov (Jacob), and, after blessing him, charged him: You are not to choose a wife from the Hitti women.”
Genesis 28:1 CJB

What good advice. We shouldn’t marry or get into intimate relationships with the world! Way to many believers marry unbelievers, which usually end in disasters! We all need to be careful of relationships with the unbeliving world. Remember they are not believers! We need to encorage believers in the LORD and share the LORD with unbelievers!

“Can unjust judges be allied with you, those producing wrong in the name of law?”
Psalm 94:20 CJB

Unjust or worldly people, can never produce something godly or just! We need to look to the LORD for everything and be united with His people!

“Adonai is the one who saves the righteous; He is the stronghold in time of trouble.”
Psalm 37:39 CJB

Today, we are always better off hanging out with other believers than with unbelievers! There will always be strength when we are united with other believers!
Have a blessed day in Him!

Yeshua paid the price

“For the truth is that I was kidnapped from the land of the Hebrews, and here too I have done nothing wrong that would justify putting me in this dungeon.”
Genesis 40:15 CJB

We are all guilty of something and have also been accused of doing something we actually didn’t do! Understand the world is always going to point fingers at us as believers. It’s ok because Yeshua, the only one who never did anything wrong, was accused and punished for all the things we actually did do!

“But He was wounded because of our crimes, crushed because of our sins; the discipling that makes us whole fell on Him, and by His bruises[ Or: and in fellowship with Him] we are healed.”
Isaiah 53:5 CJB

We really need to reflect on this today on how much the LORD has done for us! He took the bullet that we deserve, He jumped on the grenade that was meant to blow us up, so to speak! He paid the price for our all our crimes and transgressions, just so we can be saved and spend all eternity with Him!

“We all, like sheep, went astray; we turned, each one, to his own way; yet Adonai laid on Him the guilt of all of us.”
Isaiah 53:6 CJB

Today, we all must remember that we are all guilty of something, but we are redeemed by the LORD, who died for all those who call upon His name!
Have a blessed day calling on the LORD and sharing His good news of salvation!
Shabbat Shalom!

We all have a appointed time

“Look,I’m old now, I don’t know when I will die.”
Genesis 27:2 CJB

The same is true today. We don’t know when we are going to be called home! So we have to ask ourselves: are our affairs in order and I’m not talking about wills and inheritances! I’m talking about are we right with the LORD? Do we have grudges that need to be dealt with or people we need to make things right with?

“For everything there is a season, a right time for every intention under heaven- a time to be born and a time to die….”
Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 CJB

As Ecclesiastes goes on to say more about appointed times, we will just camp out on being born which for all of us has already happened and a time to die which will happen! The fact is ten out of ten people die! We need to ask ourselves how do we want to spend our time while we are alive?

“Come, let’s sing to Adonai! Let’s shout for joy to the Rock of our salvation!”
Psalm 95:1 CJB

Realize, our time here on earth is short, so let’s not get caught up in things that don’t matter, but instead let’s get caught up in the LORD, who does matter! Let’s have a blessed day sharing His Salvation with others!
Shabbat Shalom

Eyes on Adonai

“Adonai appeared to him and said, Don’t go down into Egypt, but live where I tell you.”
Genesis 26:2 CJB

Always good advice from the LORD: stay away from the world and obey His word!

“For He is our God, and we are the people in His pasture, the sheep in His care. If only today you would listen to His voice.”
Psalm 95:7 CJB

What a privilege it is to be called God’s people, His children! So why would we listen to anyone else? That would be complete foolishness! So, don’t fall into the trap of listening to the media, politicians and check everything that preachers preach!

“Guide my footsteps by Your word; don’t let any kind of sin rule me.”
Psalm 119:133 CJB

Today, be careful of going down to Egypt (the world) and look to the LORD to guide you! The directions for life are found in His Word (the Bible)!
May your day be a day of thanksgiving in the LORD!

Love God

“Yitz’chak (Isaac) favored `Esav, because he had a taste for game; Rivkah (Rebecca) favored Ya’akov (Jacob).”
Genesis 25:28 CJB

One of the things this Bible account tells us is: be careful of picking favorites!

“No one can be slave to two masters; for he will either hate the first and love the second, or scorn the second and be loyal to the first. You can’t be a slave to both God and money.”
Matthew 6:24 CJB

In everything we do, we need to choose God first! Our love for God needs to be greater than anything else!

“There is not to be with you any foreign god; you are not to worship an alien god.”
Psalm 81:9 CJB

Today, let’s pick the LORD as our favorite! Why? Because there is nothing better than the LORD!
Have a blessed day with Him as your favorite!
