“But the high places were not removed, Nevertheless, Asa was wholehearted with Adonai throughout his life.”

Asa did good things for Adonai! He removed prostitutes, rid the land of idols and put back the holy things dedicated to God into the temple! Unfortunately he tolerated the high places, allowing the people to continue in idolatry!

“I will not allow before my eyes any shameful thing. I hated those who act crookedly; what they do does not attract me.”
Psalm 101:3 CJB

Do we follow after God, but still allow things that are not upright happen around us? We need to be careful of what we allow into our lives and what we see!

“Glory in His holy name; let those seeking Adonai have joyful hearts.”
1 Chronicles 16:10 CJB

Today, let’s really take a good look at what we allow into our lives and if it’s ungodly, let’s remove it!

Anything Adonai does is perfect and we should always give ear to all that He says!

“But let all who take refuge in You rejoice, let them forever shout for joy! Shelter them; and they will be glad, those who love Your name.”
Psalm 5:11 CJB

The only place we can find any kind of refuge and peace is in Adonai! Everything else will fail!

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”
Psalm 46:1 CJB

Today, know that we are always going to be safe in Adonai!

Not much has changed. We see people who claim to be believers do evil and ungodly things and ignore God and His will, shoving Him behind their backs! We also see so-called ministries and their leaders do the same while calling themselves believers! We all need to be careful of doing this!

“Therefore you are to be careful to do as Adonai your God has ordered you; you are not to deviate either to the right or the left.”
Deuteronomy 5:29 CJB

We all need to be mindful of what we are doing. It really is pretty easy to fall off the wagon, so to speak! We all can get distracted into doing foolish and evil things! The good news is we have an amazing God who is always willing to forgive as long as we repent!

“Therefore, repent and turn to God, so that your sins may be erased; so that times of refreshing may come from the LORD’S presence; and He may send the Messiah appointed in advance for you, that is, Yeshua.”
Acts 3:19-20 CJB

Today, we need to be real careful of what we get involved in, because there is a real lot of deception out there! And if you have slipped up or you’re not doing what’s right, simply just repent and watch Adonai clean you up!

Earlier in this account the man of God was told by Adonai not to stop, eat or drink but just keep going a different way! When God warns us, we should always do what He says no matter what!

“The other (false prophet) said to him, I too am a prophet, just like you; and an angel spoke to me by the word of Adonai and said, Bring him back with you to your house, so that he can eat food and drink water. But he was lying to him.”
1 Kings 13:18 CJB

We should never just trust what someone says to us or just take their word for it, especially when it contradicts what God and His word says! Never second guess the words that come from God, even if someone claims that God spoke to them! It must line up with God and His word!

“Dear friends, don’t trust every spirit. On the contrary, test the spirits to see whether they are from God; because many false prophets have gone into the world.”
1 John 4:1 CJB

Today, no matter what, we need to test everything no matter how good they seem to be! If God gave you direction backed up by His word and someone tells you differently then pray and verify it’s truly from God! Don’t be afraid to pushback on false people!

This was a big mistake for Rehoboam, he ignored wise counsel and took the advice from inexperienced young fools! We need to be careful of who we get counsel and direction from!

“With God are wisdom and power: He has [good] counsel and understanding.”
Job 12:13 CJB

We can never go wrong when we choose God and His word for counsel and direction!

“But the counsel of Adonai stands forever, His heart’s plans are for all generations.”
Psalm 33:11 CJB

Today, look to God before you get advice from other people and when you do ask for advice, make sure that they are people who are walking with Adonai! Don’t take advice from the world!
