‘I am Adonai; that is My name. I yield my glory to no one else, nor my praise to any idol.”

In other words, God will not share His glory with anyone or any other being! He alone is God, so don’t worship anything other than Him!

“I am Adonai your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the abode of slavery. You are to have no other gods before Me.”
Exodus 20:2-3 CJB

We all, at one time or another, stuck in the bondage of slavery living in Egypt (the world) and God and saved us! He isn’t demanding we worship Him because He is insecure, but He demands we worship Him for our safety and security, because He knows best! Worshipping the gods of the world only brings destruction!

“I call on Adonai, who is worthy of praise; and I am saved from my enemies.”
2 Samuel 22:4 CJB

As we see the world literally falling apart around us, the only thing that can save us is Adonai! So let’s worship Him in everything!

We, as believers, have nothing to fear! Why? Because we belong to God, and He will always take care of us, because we belong to Him!

“Be strong, be bold, don’t be afraid or frightened of them, for Adonai your God is going with you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”
Deuteronomy 31:6 CJB

Like the children of Israel, we need to be encouraged. Things at times can and do look impossible. We just need to remember we belong to Adonai and He goes before us, clearing our path.

“For I, Adonai, your God, say to you, as I hold your hand, Have no fear; I will help you.”
Isaiah 41:13 CJB

If we want real comfort and security we have to look no farther than to Adonai! Our first goto for all things needs to be our Father in Heaven, because that really is where our help comes from!

“A voice cries out: Clear a road through the desert for Adonai! Level a highway in the `Aravah (desert) for our God.”

This speaks of Elijah and all four gospels use this verse speaking of John the Baptist! This should encourage us to share the Good News of Salvation in the deserts of the world we live in, just like John the Baptist did!

“Look! I am sending My messenger to clear the way before Me; and the LORD, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple. Yes, the messenger of the covenant, in whom you take such delight-look! Here He comes, says Adonai-Tzva’ot(LORD of Hosts).”
Malachi 3:1 CJB

Are we sharing the message of salvation? We are called to proclaim the Good News!

“But you are a chosen people, the King’s cohanim, a holy nation, a people for God to possess! Why? In order for you to declare the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.”
1 Peter 2:9 CJB also Deuteronomy 7:6-8

We always need to be reminded of this: God has chosen us out of the dark world to be His representatives for Him!

“Hizkiyahu (Hezekiah) said to Yesha`yahu (Isaiah), The word of Adonai which you have just told me is good; because he thought, At least peace and truth will continue during my lifetime.”
Isaiah 39:8 CJB

What a strange thing to say this is good! Hezekiah’s kids, grandkids and fellow Jews were going to become slaves, eunuchs and servants in Babylon and he is happy because it won’t happen in his lifetime! This is what compromise will get you: captivity!

“Eliyahu (Elijah) stepped forward before all the people and said, How long are you going to jump back and forth between two positions? If Adonai is God, follow Him; but if it’s Ba`al, follow him! The people answered him not a word.”
1 Kings 18:21 CJB

We can’t be like the people here not answering a word, we need to be bold and denounce evil and not compromise with the world! We need to stand strong with Adonai!

“No one can be slave to two masters; for he will either hate the first and love the second, or scorn the second and be loyal to the first. You can’t be a slave to both God and money.”
Matthew 6:24 CJB

Today, be careful of who and what you get involved with, because when we try to fit in with the world it doesn’t only burn us, but it affects the ones we love too!

Understand, ten out of ten people will die, so we need to get ready! Is your house in order? Are you right with Adonai? If not, today is a good day to start!

“Hear my cry, God; listen to my prayer. From the end of the earth, with fainting heart, I call out to You. Set me down on a rock far above where I am now.””
Psalm 61:1-2 CJB

No matter how things may look or how bad you think you’ve blown it, just call on Adonai and know He hears! He will help you get things in order!

“The Rock! His work is perfect, for all His ways are just. A trustworthy God who does no wrong, He is righteous and straight.”
Deuteronomy 32:4 CJB

God is perfect and so are His ways, He is perfect in everything! Because everything He does is perfect, we need to seek Him to help get our lives into His perfect order!
