“Thus says the LORD of hosts: ‘Execute true justice, Show mercy and compassion Everyone to his brother.” Zechariah 7:9

It really is hard to show justice, mercy and compassion to people who just hate! They hate God, they hate you for loving God and they even hate their country! Here the LORD tells us to show compassion and love OUCH!

“But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you.” Luke 6:28-29

As we look around us we see the world becoming more vile and filled with hate! The LORD calls us to be His loving light, reflectors so to speak of His great mercy, grace and love! Let us be careful of how we react to the situations going on around us! Let us shine for the LORD reflecting His glory.

“The LORD is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy.” Psalm 145:8

This is how our LORD is, so let us reflect who He is today and not get all caught up in the hatred and vileness of the world! Have a blessed day!

“So he answered and said to me: This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My spirit, ‘ Says the LORD of hosts.” Zechariah 4:6

What the LORD is saying is we can’t do things by our might, our abilities, and by power of our own strength! The idea here is we can’t do things on our own abilities and knowledge, the term self made man doesn’t work! We need the LORD!

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways, says the LORD.” Isaiah 55:8

The ways of the LORD are so different from our ways, we really need to get onto His way of thinking not ours!

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:9

If you been doing things by your own might and power, and feel your getting nowhere then its time to drop it and let the LORD take over!

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7

So let us walk in the Spirit of the LORD, by His might and power today! It sure will take the stress out of your day! Have a blessed day in the LORD!

“Then He answered and spoke to those who stood before Him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And to him He said, See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with rich robes.” Zechariah 3:4

What a picture of us, the best we can do is stand before the LORD in our filthy rags of life! What does the LORD do, He cleans us up and puts a robe of righteousness on us!

“I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, My soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.” Isaiah 61:10

To me when I read these verses, my desire is to fall down and worship the King! We all know how greedy, unloving and self centered we can be, and yet the LORD still loves us and will cloth us in His righteousness!

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

Today let us rejoice and be glad that the LORD has removed all our filthy rags from us! Have a blessed day in the LORD!

 

“Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion! For behold, I am coming and I will dwell in your midst, says the LORD.” Zechariah 2:10

This does give us something to sing about, the LORD is coming to dwell in our midst! Yes one day we are going to actually dwell with the LORD, for now we can enjoy His presence!

“Serve the LORD with gladness: come before His presence with singing.” Psalm 110:2

I know I say this a lot, but no matter what is going on in your life! Remember the LORD is near! He is just a prayer, a call away from us. He the creator of the universe listens to us when we call!

The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth.” Psalm 145:18

Today if you feel like the LORD isn’t answering you, realize He is, and has already worked out all the details of our lives! Knowing that let us just sing and rejoice in Him now, because sooner than later we will all be dwelling with Him! Have a blessed day!

“Therefore say to them, Thus says the LORD of hosts: Return to Me, says the LORD of hosts, and I will return to you, says the LORD of hosts.” Zechariah 1:3

How comforting to know when we blow it, all we have to do is return unto the LORD! And He will receive us with open arms!

“The LORD has heard my supplication; The LORD will receive my prayer.” Psalm 6:9

If you feel like you’ve been wandering a bit or really have blown it, know this all you have to do is call on the LORD! Often times we try everything else but calling on the LORD. Which usually makes a bigger mess.

“As for me, I will call upon God, And the LORD shall save me.” Psalm 55:16

Pretty simple, just call on the LORD and He will save you! Today if you’ve been wandering around a bit return to the LORD! Have a blessed day with the LORD!
