Do we give our firsts to God or do we give Him our leftovers?

“Honor Adonai with your wealth and with the first fruits of all your income.”
Proverbs 3:9 CJB

In other words everything you have is from God and belongs to Him! So we need to be believers who freely give back to Him as we walk through life!

“Give thanks to the God of Heaven, for His grace continues forever.”
Psalm 136:26 CJB

God gave us everything, so we should give Him our bests also!

How true is this? God is just, full of grace and mercy! It is us who do wicked things and act wickedly! We need to be so thankful for the grace and mercy of God!

“Together with our ancestors, we have sinned, done wrong, acted wickedly.”
Psalm 106:6 CJB

Again the truth is we are sinners in desperate need of a Savior and Yeshua is that gracious Savior!

“Adonai is righteous in all His ways, fully of grace in all He does.”
Psalm 145:17 CJB

No matter how bad things can be, remember all we have to do is call upon Adonai and be saved!

“And then, whoever calls on the name of Adonai will be saved.”
Acts 2:21 CJB

How simple is it to just call on Adonai, repent and be saved!
Rejoice today in His salvation!

“I said to them, The gates of Yerushalayim are not to be opened until the sun is hot; and while the gatekeepers are still on duty, have them shut the doors; and you, put up bars. Appoint watchmen from among those living in Yerushalayim; assign each one his time to guard, and have each one serving near his own house.”
Nehemiah 7:3 CJB

The point here is that they were to keep on building the city, but more importantly their own households, but be on guard against any attacks! The same goes for us we are to be watching and alert!

“Stay alert! Be on guard! For you do not know when the time will come.”
Mark 13:33 CJB

Only Adonai knows the day and the hour of His coming and what will happen next in our lives! So we need to stay alert and be on guard at all times! No one knows when Adonai is coming or when the enemy will attack! So don’t get distracted in watching world events, be aware of them, but what we really need to do is be on guard as we watch for Adonai!

“My strength, I will watch for You, for God is my fortress.”
Psalm 59:9 CJB

So let’s be on guard, being aware of our surroundings and watching for Adonai!

Do we study the Word of God with a heart to understand it and share it with others? How do we understand the Word? By dedicating ourselves to Adonai!

“I am Your servant; give me understanding, so that I can know Your instruction.”

When we dedicate ourselves to Adonai, it is He who will give us understanding on His instructions (His Word)!

“For you have been a refuge for me, a tower of strength in the face of the foe. I will live in your tent forever and find refuge in the shelter of Your wings.”
Psalm 61:3-4 CJB

We will always find rest and understanding in the shelter of Adonai’s wings as we study His Word and then go out and share it!
