What do we do when we can’t sleep, doom scroll or search the scriptures?

“How blessed are those who reject the advice of the wicked, don’t stand on the way of sinners or sit where scoffers sit! Their delight is in Adonai’s Torah; on His Torah they meditate day and night.”
Psalm 1:1-2 CJB

We all need advice, direction and comfort and the best place that can be found is in the Word of God! An amazing thing happens when we look for solace. It will always be found in Adonai!

“They are like trees planted by streams-they bear their fruit in season, their leaves never wither, everything they do succeeds.”
Psalm 1:3 CJB

So, when we need comfort, conformation or correction, it can always be found in His word!

“Indeed, Haman added, Esther the queen let nobody into the banquet with the king that she had prepared except myself; and tomorrow, too I am invited by her, together with the king.”

Be careful of bragging or boasting about things that haven’t happened!

“Don’t boast about tomorrow, for you don’t know what the day may bring.”
Proverbs 27:1 CJB

We all need to focus on what Adonai has set before us and not worry about what’s next! We all worry or boast about tomorrow, there are way to many people predicting and not enough just looking at the day before us!

“Don’t worry about tomorrow-tomorrow will worry about itself! Today has enough tsuris (trouble) already!”
Matthew 6:34 CJB

So don’t brag or worry about tomorrow, but instead just look to Adonai!

The point here is if you ignore persecution of other believers, thinking it won’t affect you, think again! Because persecution will eventually effect you also!

“How blessed are those who are persecuted because they pursue righteousness! For the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.”
Matthew 5:10 CJB

Are we looking forward to eternity or are we trying to fit in here? As believers, understand we will never fit in to the world so why try! Instead live for God and His ways!

“The world hates you, understand it hated Me first.”
John 15:18 CJB

What a great reminder, to know the world hates us and we shouldn’t be upset when the world gives us friction, it’s going to happen! So stick up for each other!

“Dear friends, don’t regard as strange the fiery ordeal occurring among you to test you, as if something extraordinary were happening to you.”
1 Peter 4:12 CJB

Our biblical forefathers were persecuted, so realize so will we! So don’t think it’s strange but instead embrace it!

There is always a devious person like Haman in every government that has the leader’s ear, giving bad advice! What is the solution? Prayer! We need to be praying for our leaders, our governments and our neighbors!

“When you call to Me and pray to Me, I will listen to you.”
Jeremiah 29:12 CJB

The more we pray, the more God hears and what is amazing, He will answer! The answers He gives will be His perfect answers, not our flawed requests! In His perfect answers, He also gives understanding and comfort!

“Then God’s shalom, passing all understanding, will keep your hearts and minds safe in union with the Messiah Yeshua.”
Philippians 4:7 CJB

So no matter what we see going on around us, don’t panic, just pray and trust God has it all covered!
