God is our refuge

“David got up early in the morning, he and his men, to leave and go back into the land of the Philistine; while the Philistine continued up to Yizre`el (Jezreel).”
1 Samuel 29:11 CJB

We all need to understand, as believers, we will never fit in with the world. They will reject us and then they will attack us! So where do we find safety? In Yeshua, under His wings!

“You who live in the shelter of `Elyon, who spend nights in the shadow of Shaddai, who say to Adonai, My refuge! My fortress! My God, in whom I trust! He will rescue you from the trap of the hunter and from the plague of calamities; He will cover you with His pinions (feathers), and under His wings you will find refuge; His truth is a shield and protection.”
Psalm 91:1-4 CJB

This is a great truth to memorize! Why? Because it tells us who we can trust and that is Adonai. We will find refuge, protection and truth when we are under His wings!

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”
Psalm 46:1 CJB

We can and do have big problems in life, but God is bigger than our problems. So instead of looking to the world, look to Adonai. He is the only one who can save!
May you have a blessed day in Him!

We need Yeshua

“Samuel said, Why ask me, if Adonai has left you and become your enemy?”
1 Samuel 28:16 CJB

In other words why are you asking me what you already know? If we ignore God and do our own thing, He will ignore us, so why are we surprised!

“Hear, oh earth! I am going to bring disaster on this people; it is the consequences of their own way of thinking; for they pay no attention to My words; and as for My Torah, they reject it.”
Jeremiah 6:19 CJB

All that is going on in the world around us should lead us to desire the truth of the word of God even more! The world desperately needs Yeshua!

“Oh, land, land, land! Hear the word of Adonai!”
Jeremiah 22:29 CJB

More than ever, we need to listen and do what Adonai says!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!

Look to God for help!

“But David said to himself, One day Shaul will sweep me away. The best thing for me to do is to escape into the territory of the Philistine. Then Shaul will give up trying to find me here or there in Israel’s territory, and at last I’ll be free of him.”
1 Samuel 27:1 CJB

We all can make rash decisions like this! David is being pursued by Saul and decides to run and hide with worldly pagans! Instead of just trusting God, who anointed him to be king!

“Trust in Adonai with all your heart; do not rely on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him; then He will level your paths.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 CJB

Trusting God can and does bring us joy, peace and understanding! Looking to self brings us discouragement, fear and despair! What do you want?

“Be glad in Adonai; rejoice, you righteous! Shout for joy, all you upright in heart!”
Psalm 32:11 CJB

When we put Yeshua as your Savior, and we rely upon Him for everything, trusting that He is directing our paths! Then we will have joy in all things even the uncomfortable things!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!

God values you

“Look: just as I put great value on your life today, so may my life be given great value by Adonai. May He deliver me from every kind of trouble.”
1 Samuel 26:24 CJB

Where do we find our refuge and deliverance?

“Adonai is my Rock, my fortress and deliverer, my God, my Rock, in whom I find shelter, my shield, the power that saves me, my stronghold.”
Psalm 18:3 CJB

Is God your everything? Is He all you need? The reality is God should be everything to us, because He really is all we need!

“I call on Adonai, who is worthy of praise; and I am saved from my enemies.”
Psalm 18:4 CJB

Let’s be believers who call on Adonai for everything! Why? Because He really is everything we need!
Have a blessed day calling on Adonai!

Wait on Adonai

“David said to his men, Buckle your sword on, all of you! Each one buckled on his sword, David too; and they went up after David about four hundred men, while two hundred stayed with the equipment.”
1 Samuel 25:13 CJB

Yes, Naval was an evil nasty man, but David almost made a huge mistake here! What did he do? He failed to consult Adonai before stepping out and shedding blood! We all need to learn to pray and wait before we speak and do!

“Call out to Me, and I will answer you – I will tell you great things, hidden things of which you are unaware.”
Jeremiah 33:3 CJB

Why would anybody call on anyone else but Adonai? Adonai answers and then He will do awesome and amazing things every time! We just need to call and wait!

“And call on Me when you are in trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”
Psalm 50:15 CJB

God is the only one who will answer us in the day of our trouble! In fact He is the only one who can actually give us the help we really need!
Have a blessed day calling on, then waiting on Adonai!
